I currently have Hi ACE GL model 2000 Gasoline. I am planning to buy a new Hi ACE. macmacam are you impressed with the D4D engine? 10k/ktr that is good.

my hilux 2.5 G is nearing its first year, 11k+ km odo..so far so good, no problem with its d4d engine..no black smoke..good fc..casa maintained..shell v power diesel fed..

All in all, we've had 5 D4D units in our family. 3 Innovas (3 05s and an 09) and a Hiace. One unit had the D4d problem and was sold in 2009 (pinaayos nalang ng buyer).

I'd still get this over the gas models. It may not be the most powerful or refined diesel but it already gives a good balance between useable power and efficiency at a good price.

db they say na its 1-2 out of 10 can get a defective d4d? nakakatakot kung natamaan sa 1-2.

We had a HiAce GL Grandia (December 2007). We sold it last October 68K ODO. No problems at all. Maintained by Toyota Pasong Tamo.

Sir ang good suspension mo ba na sinasabi ay di matagtag?
Or you mean matibay ang suspension? Kasi yung Commuter namin sobrang tagtag talo pang jeep kahit 30 psi lang ang hangin.

Regarding the D4D engine. Sobrang lakas niya, ang lakas bumatak.

Have a 2008 Innova E D4D Manual. Bought Nov. 2007 but had only accumulated a little more than 25000km on the odo. Happy with the performance - just the right amount of power on its 2.5L Engine and extremely happy with the 10+km/liter FC on city driving. A bit agitated when I saw the D4D issues but what the heck?!!

Di naman kasi talaga kasali sa D4D woes ang Hi-Ace & Hilux.

Pero IMO, given the chance to pick between the VVT-i or D4D units in either the Innova or Fortuner .. sa D4D ako. Ang mahal na ng gas ngayon ... grabe !!

D4D issue is already history. At least yan ang sabi ng SA ko.. So far, (God forbid) havent experience problem.

Sana ilabas na yan for the 2011 Fortuner or 2011 Hilux.

Im driving a 2010 2.5G Hilux. City driving minimum 10km/li. It went down to 9.4km/li when i used Petron Turbo Diesel. Bilis masunog siguro ng masmahal na diesel. Hehe! Overall satisfied with my 6 month old D4D, may hatak na, matipid sa diesel at pati sa maintenance matipid din.

We have a 05 Innova D4d Few years back. I like the performance of it since torquey and powerful with a good FC....

but suddenly. we are a victim of the d4d problems. pero bilib parin ako sa d4d kahit may problema. tsambahan lng ng units yan. =) enjoy driving your d4d mga sir

2006 innova E M/T 116,000++ kms still counting....had the stalling issue and it was resolved by just replacing the fuel filter...

can still rin 160kph kaso medyo umuusok na when I stay Idle at that speed...hehe

one thing I like about the 2kd D4D is the powerband....kahit saan mong range apakan may hatak na binibigay.... kung baga parang well distributed ang power at any RPM range

unlike sa 4m41 may mga instances na you need to wait pa 1 to 2 seconds....pero pag pumalo naman nakaka freeze ng b*lls....hehehe
