This is the second time I have complained on the customer service at Toyota Alabang. First was when I had my car tuned up where the spark plugs had been replaced. After driving for a few kilometers I had observed that my engine was shaking. I thought of it that maybe it's the spark plug. Just to verify, I went to Rapide Service Center to have it replaced, there, I had it confirmed that it was really the spark plug. Furious, I contacted Toyota Alabang Service Center and complained, They had it checked and confirmed that it's really the spark plug. Of course, denial would be the course of action and insisted that they replaced it with a new one.
Second, on February 9, at 8:30 am, I brought my car to the service center for the 25,000 kms maintenance. After giving me the assesment, I went up to the customer lounge to wait, and stayed there until 1:00 pm. To my surprise I saw my car parked at the waiting area for release at around 9:30 am. I told myself that maybe somebody will get it for other services required as stated in my receipt. But that did not come until I took my car. I asked the man who drove me to the gate if the handbrake was adjusted and said yes. But when I reached home I found out that nothing had changed with the hand brake and that confirmed my suspicion that they only changed the engine oil (?) and the filter (?). Actually, I doubt if they changed anything. I am even of the impression now that maybe some parts are stolen and replaced with old ones from another car.
My friends in the office, who owns Toyota and are having services at Toyota Alabang, have the same suspicion and complaints. We also have the same question in mind if services are truly done in good faith. Is it? How can we be sure? I called the service department on tuesday (Feb 12) to complain on this matter. They only told me to go back and have it checked. What a waste of my time!!!

hmmm. why not file a complaint with the manager?
i cannot really imagine casas doing that... imagine, Toyota means quality... pero ang services really sucks.

yan talaga mahirap sa casa bro... next time, if you can really do it, have your car na lang serviced at other shops outside of the casa where you can see your car being serviced and what is being done.

i would really recommend speedyfix....

I just did that but my e-mail returned - DELIVERY FAILLURE. I think they're blocking any complaints.

Or, fax them a letter.... Make it a formal complaint so that they can be forced into action.

yup, in that letter, demand a timetable or deadline for explanation, otherwise they will just sleep on that letter.

welcome to tsikot.

before na dalahin mo ang car mo sa casa for PMS, call for an appointment. Dahil sa 1K PMS iyan, puwede kang maghintay. sabihan mo ang SA na hihintayin mo ang car mo. Ask questions. Alamin mo kung ano exactly ang gagawin sa car mo para no surprises. also read the manual.

Bro,

You have to highlight this problem to the TAI higher management, I also have a Toyota Fortuner 2009 Model AT Diesel, my contact TAI sales rep. is Ms. Cossette Antonio and I already mentioned her about TAI sucks on our Tsikot forum. She does not make any comment meaning they are really sucked.

On my SUV 1km. I have it change oil with fully synthetic oil, now because of your info and bad experience I am now in doubt with their service for my next 10Km change oil.

Do we have Consumer Association of the Philippines to file our complain like in U.A.E ?

Okay... just got a car from TIA... without tint on release, had to bring it back for tinting... instead of the one hour promise it would take 4-5 hours so I just had them pre-cut the tint and got it installed across ATC.

Had an appointment in the afternoon.

I do not think I want to service in TIA. Is Toyota Manila Bay any good? I used to service in Shaw (a few years ago), but have moved to the south (Bacoor, Cavite), so hopefully you can recommend somewhere near.

Regards.

i just got my VIOS 1.5G last june 26 sa TAI, i told the sales rep na i will get the lto plates myself, pero pagka kita ko sa invoice after i paid, naka charge parin yun 7,200 thau registration fee ! , i asked her bakit ganun?, sagot nya sa akin S.O.P. daw yun kahit kakilala ko pa district head ng LTO! at 2 weeks na ko naghihintay for the PNP clearance from her pero dedma nya text at call ko! WTF??? ako ang customer , ako pa ang nag fa-follow-up? OMG! ONLY IN TOYOTA ALABANG!

- so there , lesson learned the irritating way, kaya on my 1tkms check-up , sa TOYOTA PASONG TAMO AKO PUPUNTA! (i bought our FORTUNER G there last 2007, ok sales at EXCELLENT ang service.) bakit kasi sa TAI ko pa naisipan bumili ng vios, tsk tsk tsk..... haaaaay nako....

I think you should file a complain sir.

I got their Boss' emails and will surely file a formal complaint. They should not LIE to customers! I should have done my due diligence.

It would have been helpful to document all the instances with photos per day of your visit just to prove the lack of action on your vehicle. An e-mail to customer service of TAI and CC to Toyota Motor Philippines so they're also aware would be helpful in expediting repair and backjob.

As much as possible, I avoid having paintjobs and body repair done with a dealer. Mostly a bunch of amateurs and on the job trainees working on your car as practice. If it's just a one or two panel job, I wouldn't bother claiming insurance and just have a pro paint shop have a go at it. Will also only take a day or two based on experience.

All events documented already sir. for formal submission na lang! Thanks din for the advice. Now I know di dapat sa Toyota Alabang magpagawa ng paint job. Yung regular maintenance service kaya, sa tingin mo ok pa din sa kanila ipagawa? I wouldnt mind going far for a good service.
