    Mga Sirs,

I just bought a new Innova J Diesel last week. It's still is not with me, though, because the Silver color that I ordered is still unavailable. I would like to ask your expertise regarding the proper way to break-in my unit. I am pretty sure that there will be different opinions and practices so may I request for the model year of your unit, way of break-in, and the status of your unit after the break-in. Also, some technical analysis for your preference will be of great help.

    More power to all.

Aside from the break-in procedure, better also to ensure that you practice the proper turbo cool down before turning off your engine to lengthen the lifespan of your turbocharger.

Yes sir, most cars applicable siya.

Based from experience, mas nakaka-ganda yan ng FC. You'll notice it after the 1k check-up. Wag lang talaga papaabutin sa 4000rpm.

And as you can see naman, coming from the Sta.

Parang taxi. From stop, hataw agad.

Basta huwag mo bibiglain ng hahatawin agad from stop.

The way to "properly" break-in your vehicle differs from the owner's preferences.

    1-2 minutes.

If you don't have the luxury of time to wait, just install a turbo timer.

Korek ka dyan. Na hard break in na nila yan although short time lang.
I see new cars from Santa Rosa na ang tutulin sa SLEX going to Manila.
Normally convoy sila, all with hazard lights flashing and plastic cover all over the interiors.
Then when you get a new car ay 5 Km lang ang reading kasi dini-disconnect nila ang odometer while going to the Casa. I know this because when I bought a car long time ago, it was my first complaint - the odometer was not working - always 5 Km. Nakalimutan daw ikabit.

The worst I saw was a group of Isuzu Dmax (also from their Santa Rosa plant).
I slowed down on a big hump of around 7 inches high.
Then here came a brand new DMAX hazards and all then zipped passed the hump full speed and no brake lights engaged. Idol. I know it has high ground clearance but pity the new owner that even on 2 inches of humps he tries to slow down.
