I did a test sit earlier sa Toyota showroom, passed by Isuzu also to check out the D-max as it is 200k cheaper. exterior much more maporma Hi-lux, interior too. Should do a testdrive soon to compare the 2 engines. How tall are you sir? I didn't sit too long, just checked out the dash layout, I'm almost 6 feet tall.

I agree. I'd even consider the new Navara over this Hilux with that double-row timing chain, rear coils and the price. But you can't discount the bullet-proof Toyota with its stellar resale value here.

IIRC, the Hilux has 225mm clearance with a 700mm wading depth.

thanks for the info jut793!!! clearance of the Dmax is higher at 235mm, doesn't look obvious though.

6 feet with broad shoulders, the hilux is ok for normal sized people, its not the Pickups fault that i feel cramp inside.

the hilux is too wide. the dmax is also as wide as the hilux and ranger. the ideal pickup would be Strada. our roads here are too narrow for these wide body cars. if a taxi can pass, you cannot. I realized how difficult it is after owning a hiace grandia.sa sikip ng divisoria at quiapo, no way walang gasgas...

I think you shouldn't buy a pickup if maneuverability is a primary consideration. Pickups are too long and too wide for weaving in and out of traffic.

Even a Strada is no match for a crossover or sedan when it comes to ease of driving in congested city traffic. BTW, the current Strada is much bulkier than the one it replaced.

Haha! MR_BIG18, i think all locally available pickup brands will be too cramped for you.
Anybody with real world fuel consumption info please do post it here.
