    Good day!

We are planning on getting an All-New Toyota Hilux G 2.4 4x2 M/T white or silver with additional backing camera, plastic bedliner (might be Aeroklas), tailgate lock (might be Sustec), aluminum trifold bed cover (might be Overland), window visors, VKool OEM 35 lightest tint on all windows (since I often travel early in the morning from davao to cagayan de oro and vice versa), Keon Sondra H4 led headlight bulbs, my 4-year old Fiamm MTA/03P airhorn, oil catch can (might be the Provent 200 version from DAWG).

Any issues with the Hilux G 2.4 4x2 M/T that we should be aware of and posible solutions?

Any suggestions for the additional accessories?

Congrats on choosing the Hilux sir! Hehe you won't regret it! [emoji4] Those are some practical accessories, sir hehe and well chosen, I'm looking forward to seeing your Hilux! [emoji16] If I were to suggest additional accessories though, it would be a suspension upgrade; the Bilsteins were the best purchase we made for the Hilux so far hehe but how the Hilux rides stock would be entirely up to you if you find it comfortable enough and your driving style or how you would use your truck po hehe but the Bilsteins do improve the handling a lot, and there is a noticeable increase in stability and improvement in overall ride quality (the suspension's behavior is much more predictable) and you could also gain some lift at the front up to I think 2" with the stock coils but you could also opt for a 1" lift in front to level the rake or the natural droop like I did. As for issues, I'm not aware of or have encountered any issues at the moment with the Hilux but I have heard from people with the manual that they experience "sabit" when shifting to third gear. Better to wait for the replies of other Manual Hilux owners here (ours is an auto) to make sure but other than that, the new Hilux is smooth, quiet, and powerful [emoji4]

Here's a few pics of our humble Hilux hehe. It's only got a few small things done to it hehe [emoji16]

Hi sir, I got the set directly from Bilstein PH in San Juan. P 36,000 for the set and 2,000 for labor so all in all, 38,000 po. As for the ride, it has noticeably improved po. I'm the one driving it so I don't have experience pa po sa back seat pero I can definitely notice a significant improvement and better compliance on bumps. It rides firm, but not as jittery as stock and is feels much more planted on the highway.

Thank you po, sir! Yung Bilsteins po na nakuha ko ay shocks lang po. I'm still using the stock coils po sa harap and no shackles pa po, so basically I only opted po to level out the truck by lifting the front lang po by an inch since adjustable po yung base ng coils on the Bilstein 5100s po sa harap. Based sa binigay sa inyo po na quote sa Ridemax na may kasamang Lovells na coils sa harap, I assume po na 2 inch lift po siya na may kasamang shackles. I have no experience po with Ridemax but I hear they're pretty good din po and that would make them a good buy considering na kasama na din po dun sa price yung Lovells As for the ride, nung kinuha po namin sa casa, matagtag po siya hehe. Though it may also be my fault for not double checking the tire pressure—nung kinakabit na po yung Bilsteins (at 200 km), dun ko po nalaman na 50psi po yung tire pressure when recommended psi is 29, so we lowered it down to 29 hehe that could explain most of the tagtag po. Though the Bilsteins definitely did improve the ride and handling! I couldn't be more satisfied po, and it rides much better po. Yes po sir, sila po nag install, sa kanila po yung P 2,000 na labor and with regards naman po sa model ng Bilstein, I was originally looking for a set of 5100 for all four corners pero they suggested the 5100/4600 combo rin po since the two have the same valving and specs so I went with it na po, and am very satisfied with the ride and handling.

Thanks for your input, sir. We might get the automatic variant instead since my wife might like to drive the truck.

Regarding the suspension, we might upgrade the shocks to Ridemax (just the 4-way adjustable) with stock coil springs (might change to Lovells if needed) if my wife complains about the ride. Might stick to stock height since I sometimes carry heavy loads for around 300kms one way.

You're welcome, sir! We were actually supposed to get the E Manual variant again, since our previous Hilux was a 2011 2.5 E manual, but when my mom test drove the 2.4 G with the auto, she liked it and so we went with the automatic since it's my mom and I who drives it and we're very happy with it. [emoji16]

I've heard that the Ridemax 4-way adjustable is just like the Rancho 9000xl in terms of ride and performance so it's also a good choice. [emoji16] We're also using stock coils, though we might get Dobinsons/Lovells coils and add-a-leaf for the back sometime down the road if ever. Hope to see your truck soon, sir hehe God bless [emoji4]
