Medyo dahil karamihan ng variants walang kasamang headunit na nakakabit (maliban nalang kung special edition or integrated sa sasakyan) plus may tax pang idadagdag sa msrp dun.

Narrow body pati ung corolla nila dun

Shouldnt make the TMP Prius C(1.97M) that much more expensive than the altis hybrid(1.6M) kung kayang ibenta ni suzuki ung Jimny GL nila for about ~P240K/P200K(with Japanese Taxes) more than the nearest spec JDM Jimny JC(steel rims)

japan-made cars do not enjoy the tax breaks that asean-made cars do.

but government should go out of its way in making relatively less-polluting vehicles more attractive to motorists, i.e., tax breaks.

    i mean,
encouraging the populace to embrace anti-pollution practices...

In Japan they sell both the wide body Corolla and narrow body Corolla Axio.
*The Belta (2nd gen Vios) had no direct replacement in Japan.

Kinda forgot about the axio when making that statement but i was referring to the Japanese Widebody corolla being narrower(well smaller in all dimensions really) than the international variant of the corolla(such as the altis) even though they share the E210 chassis code(1745mm vs 1780mm)

Perhaps different method measuring? (Curious if they include the door handles.) The JDM version looks like the US version (1780mm width).
Pointless to shave off 35mm since it's still way above the 1699mm limit for the 5-number plate.

Yeah its kinda weird especially with the continued axio sales but width measurements were mostly the same for most of the lineup offered by both branches of toyota with the rav4 being a 1:1 match while most of them vary in length and height(hilux, LC200, Prado, Alphard, Prius, Prius C) and only the Hiace GL grandia differing in width from the JDM Granace but that is probably from the sideskirt the granace has that the grandia don't.

I remember this article criticizing the "bulging fenders"(refer to page 12). Was it edited?
