Simply compute your total payments by adding the 1. DP and 2. Monthly Amortization multiplied by loan term in months. The lower the total payment, the better is the offer (on the assumption that freebies are the same).

There is no hidden agenda on this, different offerings depend on many factors such as :
    1. competition - if competition unit is offering 50K DP, rival normally follow with the trend or even offer a lower DP to either retain or increase their market share.
    2. bank promos - I remember BPI offering zero downpayment.
    3. dealer promo - some dealer offer very very low DP as part of their promotion to meet their sales quota. I heard a Toyota dealer offered the Vios with only 9K or 18K DP.
    4. market demand - if the demand for a unit is high, dealers normally require higher DP while slow selling products are offered with low DP (although this is not always true).
    5. other factors that i may not have thought of

I am not a fan of this low DP since you will suffer with high interest in your monthly amortization. If the purchase can be delayed, it is better to save for a higher DP for atleast 6 months or more.
Regarding freebies, just don't be fooled. You may be getting a "free" navigation unit with backup camera worth 30K in an inhouse loan but your total payment might be higher than 40K if you obtained your loan from a bank. Net effect is that you spent 10K more on a freebie item.

Tip : After your purchase, no looking back because there is always someone who have gotten a better offer than you unless your car is a company benefit. If ever you cant restrain yourself, just learn how others got a better deal than you which you can use in your next purchase. Jjust enjoy your ride and take care of it properly. Safe driving!

yes sir, low mileage lang din kasi yung car namin, we just need it for the weekends when bulk of our work gets done. so inabot ng 4 months ata to reach 1k.
i'm not really sure if there would be any disadvantages, but as i have read up, there might still be metal scraps running inside the engine (from factory) during its first months of usage.

    - this, actually kahit malaki man yung DP or maliit, nakabase parin naman to sa financial discipline mo. in our case, we really find it hard to save up for at least 30% dp so we just decided to go with the low dp high monthly. 5 months into mortgage, turns out kaya naman pala namin mag set aside ng ganung kalaking amount every month. so yeah, in the end, i spent an additional 300k pagkatapos ng hulugan na to.
pero you can't buy happiness. and that's what me and my wife felt nung naiuwi na namin yung first brand new car namin

    SORRY, BUT I DON'T AGREE.

    Take these:

    For a P700K Vios.

    1st borrower was offered a DP of P500K and P200K via loan [at 20% add-on rate after 5 years; or, P240K (120% of P200K)].
    2nd borrower was offered a DP of P200K and P500K via loan [at 15% add-on rate after 5 years; or, P575K (115% of P500K)].
    .
Total payment for 1st borrower would be P740K (P500K DP plus P240K total amortization for 5 years).
Total payment for 2nd borrower would be P775K (P200K DP plus P575K total amortization for 5 years).

Now, who got a better offer?

1st borrower because total payment of P740K is lower than P775K? or,
2nd borrower because add-on rate of 15% is lower than 20%?

Considering all other factors are equal, THE LOWER THE INTEREST RATE THE BETTER IS THE OFFER.
This is not about the total payment made.

As I pointed earlier, it depends on the INTEREST RATE offered to you NO MATTER HOW BIG OR SMALL YOUR DOWN PAYMENT IS.
There is this thing called VALUE OF MONEY.

^ask for a quote from a shop and if the cost would be lower than your PF, pagawa mo na lang sa labas. Not worth the hassle of going through the report and insurance claims plus the fact that your premium may increase next year because of your claim.

Ganun po ba yun, kapag may history of claims tataas yung premiums? Kahit magpalit ka ng insurance company?

Baha kasi that time gutter deep di kita yung excess na nalalawit na hollow block napagalitan ng ako ni misis paguwe.

yung 1.3E A/T ko, sa Toyota Calamba: 36,000
yung included freebies i think ang di lang standard is yung
RAIN VISOR, FLOOR MATTINGS, TINT saka CAR COVER
    - yung nakasabay ko kasi dun sa releasing bay, nagtatanong din magkano down namin bakit may visor saka car cover, sabi ko bigay lang nung SA

yung included na alam kong required nila talaga isama sa package is:
SET OF TOOLS, SPARETIRE, RUST PROOFING, EARLY WARNING DEVICE
SEAT COVER TOYOTA TUMBLER 1 liter oil, 10 LITERS FUEL
UMBRELLA, KEY CHAIN, LABOR 1K AND 5K,
10% DISCOUNT ON PARTS AND ACCESSORIES

tip nga pala, take note mo kung kelan mageexpire yung free 1 liter na oil. usually 2 months yun from your release date. di ko naclaim yung sakin kasi lumagpas ako dun sa expiry date na naka-indicate dun sa letter.

Mag Bank Auto Loan ka sir. Mas malaki dp, pero mas maliit monthly. Bali yang mga ganyang "all in offer" wala naman sir hidden agenda. pero kung alam mo sir yung formula in the end mas malaki mababayaran mo compared sa Bank Auto Loan.

30% dp ko. so 233,000 pesos pero 11k lang monthly ko 60 months (13k for 48 months). Vios E AT.
