Hi guys, new owner here. Vios 1.3e AT. Well, technically hindi akin kasi nakapangalan sa mom ko pero I paid/will pay for it so its actually mine.

Anyway, I have a few observations:

    Pros:

-Interior is really a hug step up from the previous gen a friend owned
-Power is sufficient for city driving. My right foot is light and I prefer driving smoothly and defensively
-Exterior will age well I believe
-Head unit is great, I can plug my flash drive and play my favorite songs
    -Steering wheel controls

    Cons:

    - No steering wheel feedback. Masyadong magaan imo. I am not inexperienced in driving new cars but this is the first one I drove where it took me double the amount of time to get comfortable with the steering. I prefer the way mazdas and hondas feel but this is subjective. Makakasanayan ko rin I guess.
    - Im 5 feet 11 inches. Hardly tall, but tall enough to almost brush my head to the roof of the vios. May option ba to lower the seat sa 1.3e variant? Naiwan ko manual sa bahay ng parents ko so di ko mabasa. My problem is I have to pull the seat back far from the steering wheel so I can stretch my legs without hitting the steering wheel so in turn, my arms are stretched which isnt ideal for driving properly. Isa narin yung steering wheel di na ba pwede itaas yun? And since im fairly tall for the car, medyo harang yung rear view mirror din. This might seem novice questions but any insight would be greatly appreciated.

PS Ive been reading the forums for years but finally sinipag ako mag-register

Welcome to the club! There are 2 levers on the lower left side of the driver's seat, the first one (front) is for for/backward whilst the second (next) works like a pump that you can push/ pull to adjust the seat height. Try it out and let me know. 👍

Baliktad bro, the first lever (nearer to the edge of the seat) controls the height. The second lever (nearer to the sandalan) controls the recline.

A tall driver should lower the height to the lowest possible level and also move back the seat and recline it to be able to have comfortable legroom and reach.

Ok na sir thanks very much!

Oks lang bro but I suggest you send it for maintenance right away, I mean the soonest you can. Usually pag 1km checkup change oil lang but its your opportunity to raise with them issues you may have.

    Question about 1.3E AT,

May control buttons ba sa steering wheels audio?
Manual side mirrors or it has control?
    Dual airbags or driver only?
    fog light meron?
    ABS?

    Thanks guys!

Not sure if it's because everyone's out of town or if my technique is improving, but my most recent full tank got me 10.6 km/L on pure city driving.

This is a big improvement to when I first got the car where I was only getting 6.4 km/L.

Still, my biggest takeaway is that these small-engined cars aren't significantly more efficient than a 1.6L compact, but are definitely down on power. I think a 1.5/1.6L engine is the sweet spot for most Filipinos as it offers both acceptable power and commendable efficiency.

Tama ka dyan. Usually kasi high rev ang 1.3 for you to be able to make your car move lalo na kung puno.1.5 is more ok kung mat extra cash. 2k rpm shifting sa AT kahit puno ang sakay.

My first post. Hi guys happy new year!

Mine is a 1.5 a.t. and when it was still new, my vios consumes as much gas as my 2.0 innova vvti which hovers around 7kml.

FC gradually increased around 7000km . It now consumes 9-10km/l on city traffic.

That's one of my regrets also for having a small engine car but we chose it and we have to live with it, right?

I'm also quite satisfied with the FC of my Vios, standing at 9.50ish km/L pure city * 5000+ km odo, having 1 passenger all the time (my sister, because we work on the same company) and sometimes I have additional 1-2 co-workers who I have to drop to the nearest LRT station on our way home. I also felt that lack of power on inclined roads which I have to thrash the engine with 4 people inside the car especially when you have to stop in the intersection at the end of it.

Now, I kind of missed working in nightshift when I had no passengers and no traffic, probably could have broken that 10-11 km/L barrier easily now * 5000+ km odo.
