Cathy wag ka mag-hysterical, TMPI can't let the Vios' price shoot up that high kasi pano na mga taxi. They know that if the base price will reach 700k, operators would think twice buying from them.. lalo na ang Rio 1.2LX is priced competitively.

Saka base model pero 1.5L engines yun. For sure di mawawala 1.3L units sa RP market. That for one, will be a big factor for price reduction.

Benzes in Singapore are used as Taxis too but they don't seem to complain

Mga SC kasi, "yung car na yan ginagawang taxi. Like super eeww, so cheap".<br />

Sure ako aalisin yung immobilizer sa top of the line variant.

it's also possible na gawin ng toyota yung strategy nila before, bebenta nila ito imported from thailand puros 1.5L lang with different variants and retain the production of the 1.3 2nd gen vios here sa philippines. parang ginawa nila noon sa altis and the 1.3xl lovelife corolla.

March 30th, 2013 12:38 AM #95My Hungarian colleague once told me that his current car is BMW z3 and used to be z2, he said back home (Hungary) if you're driving a bm it's like you're driving a honda civic FD 2.0 here... While if you're driving toyota in his country it's like you're driving a volvo or audi here... It's because the ride is very costly to buy and costly to maintain..

I can't wait to see one in person............. with it's hood partially opened :D.
Seriously though, it looks good. Toyota seems to be getting their styling right recently.

Ang alam ko 80k pa nga.
60k nakuha ko when I got mine June last year, technically dapat mas mataas ngayon
