btt:
medyo nararamdaman ko na yung tumataas ang FC... last check ko 10km/l FT method... pure city... alam nyo naman siguro gaano ka traffic sa makati during rush hour...

December 23rd, 2013 10:35 AM #2252That idea came from DOST when we undergone ETV to get most accurate FC of our base car. Fill up from km23 nlex exit to pulilan go back to km23 via Caloocan exit then fill up again with the same process.tatlo beses inulit para makuha ang average FC.dost conduct ETV which had high standard to come up with most accurate test and claimed. December 24th, 2013 11:21 AM #2257
[/QUO
rocking the vehicle from side to side.. it is done to remove air bubbles from the gas tank.. ask any jeepney driver or taxi driver.. i see it done regularly late at night in the gas station near the house.Last edited by dr. d; December 24th, 2013 at 11:24 AM.

December 24th, 2013 11:30 AM #2258i have a similar but more practical method. this is what i do:
when the low fuel light comes on. i zero my tripmeter.
then i fill up with whatever amount of fuel i want, taking note of the amount of fuel i put in.
then i go about my driving business.
when the low fuel light comes on again, i take note of my tripmeter's reading, then i zero it again..
then i fill up again..
i do this for a month or so, longer if i want a more accurate determination..
the process gives me an accurate estimate of actual, unstaged, km/li..

December 24th, 2013 02:04 PM #2260
well, if you have seen the typical jeepney gas tank under the driver's seat, you will notice that its top is the widest flat surface of the tank, with the filler hole on the left side. i can easily understand how rocking the vehicle will get rid of air bubbles trapped on the opposite (right) side of that tank.
and to drivers where every peso counts, this is probably the most "reliable" and acceptable method of filling 'er up for the next driver.
taxi drivers? i'm not sure if it is effective, because i have no idea on what the shape of their gas tank, is.
but to the majority of us automobile drivers, i think the low fuel light method is adequate in computing for km/li...Last edited by dr. d; December 24th, 2013 at 02:07 PM.
The serpentine belt is still okay, usual consumables (air filter, oifl filter, cabin filter) got...
