someone (here?) once computed expenses at purchasing diesel versus gasoline vehicle.
considering the purchase price, the maintenance, the fuel expenses,
    and re-selling after 5 years,
he figured, the gas vehicle puts him ahead.

whatever driving pleasure advantage one has over the other,
    is negated by his chauffeur.

Ang dami kayang ganyan. Sobra nanghihinayang sa fuel expenses kahit barya lang para sa kanila ang cost of fuel.

People who have Land Cruisers and Prados usually have drivers

They drive something more interesting if they are car enthusiasts, and the SUV is the “pangharabas”

It’s not like a Vios or City where most owners just have enough means to operate and maintain them.

It's a same thing with the owners of full sized trucks here like the F150 or an Expedition, Tahoe, Suburban of some sort.

I've been happy with my personal cars which are all gas fed, except the starex. Very quiet and smooth.

Most of them are first and second generation Expeditions and early 2000s F150s. Even here in our area marami rami din. Baka ginagawa lang din nila for weekend use only or a simple grocery/errand getter.
