ok... there's body on frame -> ladder frame
This site differentiated Unibody and Monocoque, Unibody vs Monocoque - What's the difference?
And if we follow the site, the 1st and 2nd Gen Avanza are "unibody"
An automobile construction technique in which the body is integrated into a single unit with the chassis rather than having a separate body-on-frame.

November 12th, 2021 03:51 PM #32Indicator din na unibody ang current Avanza iyong floorboard niya ay mas mababa sa side sill or door sill opening. Parang Lancer boxtype na RWD.
Kung body on frame, same height ang floorboard at door sill opening.

November 13th, 2021 12:48 AM #33Regardless of definition, first and second gen felt like a body-on-frame vehicle in all aspects. Driving dynamics, ride quality, interior space together with the RWD drivetrain.
This new model is a quantum leap forward in everything. Looking forward to the Rush version soon.
