Saw a white 300 sa CG clubhouse.

Naka 24s ganda, and easy fit daw sabi ng owner. No suspension mods needed whatsoever.

Bolt pattern/PCD of the LC300 is 6x139.7, now the same as the more common SUVs/PPVs. Wheel hub is smaller too. <100 mm. Lots more wheel choices for sure.

Official: All-new Lexus LX to debut on October 13 -AUTOINDUSTRIYA

    LC300's luxo brother is coming...

Maybe has a V8 under the hood. Or a souped up version of the 300's V6 twin turbo engines.

Assuming the badge represents the displacement of the engine, the LX could have a 6.0-liter engine. Still, that's highly unlikely considering the Land Cruiser dropped the V8 in favor of smaller displacement engines. That said, the new SUV could use the same engines available in the Land Cruiser – a twin-turbodiesel 3.3-liter V6 or a 3.5-liter twin-turbo gasoline V6.

Ayan ang totoong SUA! Put in in neutral but it's still in drive.

“Due to a design issue, the transmission control module may not operate as intended,” the regulator said.

“If this occurs, the automatic transmission may continue to transfer engine power to the wheels when shifted to the neutral position.

“If the brake pedal or park brake are not applied it may result in unintended vehicle movement if shift lever is not moved to park position.

“An unintended movement of the vehicle may increase the risk of an accident causing serious injuries or death to vehicle occupants or other road users.”

The design fault is common across the vehicles.

The affected models are the LX500d (FJA310) and LX600 (VJA310) offerings with the variants LX500d, LX500d F Sport, LX500d Sports Luxury, LX600, LX600 F Sport, LX600 Sports Luxury and LX600 Ultra Luxury, and the LandCruiser 300 (FJA300) and Tundra (VXKH75) offerings with the LandCruiser Wagon GR-S, LandCruiser Wagon GX, LandCruiser Wagon GXL, LandCruiser Wagon Sahara, LandCruiser Wagon Sahara ZX, LandCruiser Wagon VX and Tundra Limited variants.

Makes sense that it's solved by reprogramming, since the issue was being caused by computerizing the transmission in the first place.
Most likely it was sending a signal to an actuator to put the transmission in neutral and then considering the job done, without properly confirming that the linkage was properly in neutral.

I don't understand the need for electronic shift levers at all. The good old mechanical linkage was foolproof, and more importantly stateful: meaning the position of the shift lever was a reliable indicator of what gear the transmission was in.

I will go against the grain hehe.....take my money! Im a fan. Excited for the new LC300. Though admittedly the CVT is worrying....especially for something supposedly so hardcore.

Having said that...will still keep my 2 LC200s as they are wonderful beasts. They are keepers but i also wont get stuck in the past. Am sure these guys know what they are doing with the new model. They have a very rabid fan base whom they cant afford to disappoint.

Remember the disappointment that was the 100?[emoji848]
They had to bring the rigid axle back in the form of the 105.

Yes its a CVT, but on low speeds or towing, it will use its 4 speed gearbox.
    Hybrid combo.

    Cvt for cruising
    4AT for loads

    Galeng!

You Poor People Didn't Buy The Land Cruiser VX, So Toyota Motor Philippines Canned It | CarGuide

Rich people had little reason to chase the “entry-level” Land Cruiser 300 VX that Toyota Motor Philippines has decided to discontinue it altogether. Now, if you really, really, really want a large SUV to go with that 8 plate (or vlog) of yours, you need to splurge extra for the now solitary Land Cruiser 300 ZX variant.

haha the level of snark in the headline!

But Toyota's not wrong though. At that price point nobody is going to balk at the extra 350k vs having a bare car.

The lack of modern amenities was a huge complaint if you ask those who bought LC200s early. Before the facelift it didn't even have a backup camera, and the lights were all standard halogen reflectors.

Interesting. Technology nga naman. Mukhang hi-tech na hardcore pa rin when needed.

I agree with EQ that Toyota would surely not try to alienate nor disappoint its cult following for the LC... though waiting for a few first mule and reviews when it comes out wouldn't hurt. Just to be safe as they probably sort out a few bugs. [emoji3]
