TMPC, don't let the Philippines down. You guys have been on a roll with all your recent launches (facelifted Wigo, Hilux, Fortuner and Innova; and Corolla Cross) by fitting them with features and specs found on the global market. Hoping that Land Cruiser 300 launch here will be the same as well

By next year, TMP might brought it here. Sana with V6 gas and diesel LC300s
Sana would have saved enough na by then........
Diesel version for me (even though i am mightily tempted by the petrol twin turbo version since it will be much faster ).

My source at one of the dealers bro told me that the Philippine market will only have diesel models. No twin turbo petrol. Twin turbo petrol is reserved for the all new Lexus LX launching soon.
Indicative price range as of the moment is 5.2M to 5.3M

And the rear floor and third row is still raised as expected because of the shock towers in the rear portion of the frame.

This is the all-new 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser 300
Next is the Lexus LX... (With more powerful version of the 3.5L twin turbo of the 300)
The gray market importers sure will bring the very first 300 in the PH.. hehe
400hp/650Nm for the turbo gas model and 300hp/700Nm for the turbo diesel.
That would surely put a smile on your face when you floor the accelerator!

I think it will be captains chairs in the 2nd row when they bring it here.
This is it. Am very excited even if the launch was anti climactic with all the leaks.
The only thing its missing is paddle shifters for that 10 speed hehe.

A design philosophy and history lesson all in one.
The first 5 minutes will make you a believer.
It even details why the wheelbase wasnt changed (Golden ratio) even though the platform is 100% all-new.

I'm not actually convinced it's all-new. Maybe there's more than meets the eye, but if you've seen pics of the LC300 frame and the put it beside the LC200 they look almost identical. I understand the placement of the shock and spring has been altered at the rear for better geometry, but I 'm really not convinced.
This sounds like the same BS Toyota was saying about the Supra not being a BMW at their launch event which nearly every journalist repeated like parrots, then when independent reviews came out it was very obviously a BMW with numerous BMW badges everywhere in the engine bay.
Im not an engineer. But they did say in that public video it's built on the all new platform.
200 kg lighter.
Different welding process
Engine location lower and more to the centerline
Aluminum roof
25% stiffer chassis
They maintained the dimensions but its all new (i guess this is the contention)
If you watch till the end, and the rally driver starts talking...its a whole new level of feeling and handling.

LC300 on the left, LC200 on the right.
The 200 kg weight savings can come from something else. Aluminum roof, smaller gas tank, single piece tailgate, interior materials, smaller engine blocks. I believe it's a newer version of the LC200 frame, but I don't buy "all-new". IMO that's marketing speak.
IMO we'll find out once the car is out in earnest and the aftermarket starts developing parts. I believe there will be plenty of parts that will be interchangeable between the 200 and the 300.
I disagree 100%. After-sales is a huge money maker. I'm sure the support for the LC200 will continue. but to keep the quality higher, the LC300 will have everything new as they've stated. Suspension + steering + safety equipment + controllers + sensors + brake system + hvac system.
The only thing similar is the bolt pattern for the wheels.
