Is Toyota PH launching a facelifted Wigo soon? | TopGear Ph

The refreshed Toyota Wigo will have a redesigned front grille similar to that of the refreshed Avanza launched last year.
This is the facelifted Toyota Wigo | TopGear Ph

    opinion ko lang.
the first gen wigo had the best front and rear designs.
the subsequent ones, i feel, are "trying too hard".

hope Toyota PH will bring the 1.2L engine in the new Wigo.
the facelift is just minimal. Still looks similar with the previous Wigo/Agya

if the 1.2 engine would result in increased price and increased fuel consumption, it might go against the raison de etre for many buyers.
the current 1.0 engine works fine for me.
but they really should improve the passenger ergonomics. my belief is, if they improve on that, more folks will come a'buyin' .

most likely the 1.2 would be standard on the TRD wigo. Optional on Wigo G. The Wigo E will only have the 1.0.
Also they should improve their driver and front passenger seats. They should put in the Vios seats.

yeah, those seats are for "little people".
"a little more seat adjust-ability, please?"
and if the steering wheel can be adjustable..?
they should also put some curves on the back seat. they get less comfortable over long-ish trips.
these seat improvements should cost less than engine improvements.

    if they improve as above,
i probably wouldn't mind using it on the expressway.

maybe the 1.2L Wigo won't make it here.
Let us see this upcoming Wigo launch if this engine will be offered here... Kahit Wigo TRD lang merong 1.2 oks na

if they make the driver seat more comfortable for wide derrieres, and make the seat height-adjustable or the manibela tilt-adjust,
    i'll bite.

Don’t expect too much from a small econobox.

i can pray that the powers-that-be will think, "hey! if we do this improvement, it might just improve our sales figures...".
    heh heh.

Well, if buyers are good with the price premium, maybe you get to enjoy the extra features.

However, if the price is near the range of the Vios already, you’re better off with the bigger car.

i am not sure. personally, the rear view camera is the only add-on i am interested in.

    at the 700K price,
may i recommend the non-TOTL vios as an alternative.

also, if one is not allergic to buying used cars,
the used altis and used innova diesel, with the same price tag, are considerations to mull over.
these cars offer a better ride experience over the wigo, in my opinion, especially if one uses the expressway on a regular basis.

For those planning to upgrade spare tyre from steel to mags, you would have to replace the carrier bolt to a longer version(red) because the orig supplied(yellow) is 1 inch short to the carrier hole.

If you ask me, neither. I’d save up for the Jazz or Mazda2 or Fiesta.
