Agree with Walter. Need to lock in the wheels first using the hand brake in neutral instead of P. This is something that should be observed especially in parking spaces where the ground is not level or a bit inclined. You risk damaging your transmission when using it to lock the car in position instead of the hand brake.

Curiuos lang, if from full stop at very flat road, foot OFF the brakes amd gas pedal, and nuetral at nilagay mo sa Drive. Smooth ba ung initial arangkada or mabilis na damba?

^^^ It depends on the vehicle ... you should always step on the brake when shifting to "D" ...

For diagnosing purposes. Dapat kasi smooth or slight bump lang when going from N to D.

For text book style driving, yes as safety, step brake every time on everything.....

Sir, are you referring my fortuner? I just bought it around end of December 2016. Actually, I already felt mahirap to shift from P to R na, but di palagi, sometimes ok naman and sometimes mahirap, like today, pag labas sa bahay mahirap, then nung pa uwi ay ok naman.

Updated na software ng TCM mo sir? Fully electronic na ang tranny ngaun, baka makuha sa software update.

Though, I noticed this last friday sa ortigas ave/greenhills stop light. May katabi ako fort, and pansin ko na umaangat or nose up sya na parang dadamba nga pero naka hinto. Maybe shifted to P or D while waiting for green light.

Yes, I was asking if this was the 1st batch because the 1st batch of fortuner had transmission issues. If you bought this on December it should not be the case.

Yeah thats a right hand drive setup. Sr5 is available in australia also.

Sa video mo kita yun output shaft gumagalaw.

From park to drive ba yun sa iyo? Or park to reverse nangyayari agad?

I suspect low atf level? Walang dip stick though.

Summary of the other guys tranny issue/solution

    1. Tcm software update.. but this was for the jerk during acceleration & deceleration.

    2. Transmission valve body and atf.. didnt really help. I suspect they were just delaying the replacement of the transmission.

    3. Transmissiom replacement. I think will be the solution for your case.

Do note of your transmission partnumber. Some did but i cant find it here hehehe.

"Hard" shift shock is what i would call your special case.

Best sequence would be ... depress foot brake ... shift to "N" ... engage hand / park brake ... release foot brake (to let the vehicle settle) ... then shift to "P" ...
