Try the all new Ford Everest and the all new Montero. kung long drive, ride comfort any of these two is a winner without major problem. hindi naman feature ang badge.

my top pick is actually the Everest current gen. But the problem is Ford's questionable after sales service. If it's a long term car (5 to 10 years) Ford is not a choice I would make no matter the car. But if it were around 3 years so that it is within the warranty period, I believe any issues are at least easier to stomach. But that's practically throwing money away if I were to sell a car just after 3 years of ownership.
This is my personal opinion and I know others may have a different mindset or experience. But with what I or relatives have experienced, I opt out for now til they do better, much much better.

Is there really a "Jerky Transmission Problem" afflicting the 2016 Fortuner?

Call any Toyota casa to ask first. I think that's an AVT unit so it's under winterpine. They have their service area near robinsons magnolia or their shop at araneta ave.
