    I checked on various sites and there will be three engines offered for the 2011/12 Vitz/Yaris. First off, the 1KR-FE DOHC VVT-i engine that goes 69PS of power output, the 1NR-FE DOHC Dual VVT-i engine, and the 109PS 1NZ-FE DOHC VVT-i engine. Most Vitz/Yaris variants will get CVT, and the Japan-only Vitz RS will get 5MT, which is way weaker than the Honda Fit/Jazz RS' 6MT



    In conclusion, do we need a manual variant for the new Vitz/Yaris?! Kaso, yung upcoming Japan-only Vitz RS, one gear short kaysa sa JDM Honda Fit RS!

    Is this all new? Seems to be a reskin with the same platform (and the 1NZ-FE engine) as the current model.

    The styling is such elongated in the back then carbo loaded infront. The center mounted gauges is no more... current Yaris owners would surely miss it....

    Most Toyotas are for daily driver. Reliabilty and low owning costs.

    Depende ata per manufacturer at region.

    Early review of this model:

    While the new Yaris is more spacious, handles better than the old model, and looks considerably smarter, it’s been shortchanged on a few interior elements, and performance is middling at best. It’ll need those missing toys to stand out from the crowd when it arrives here, reportedly later this year.
    Verdict: Boring. Talo ata Toyota with this new Yaris.

    Di pa lumalabas, dead on arrival na! Even the current Jazz, Fiesta, Mazda 2 seem more exciting than the new Yaris...

    compared to the hyundai's... these next gen toyota's look conservative. I will not be surprised if hyundai further gains ground on toyota (and honda - the new civic looks boring as well) this 2011...
