riding comfort is great.. lalo na sa pagliko in high speed kasi tamang tama yung seat niya parang nakahulma yung body ko.. rough roads, hindi ko pa naidadaan pero mukhang ok din naman kasi pag may mga lubak ako nadadaanan ay ok naman siya.. aircon niya malamig naman siya... plano ko pala lagyan ng aircon filter...

Sir update po kayo dito kung sakaling plan niyo magpalagay ng aircon filter. Di ko po kasi alam kung saan mura eh. And I don't know kung mavovoid ang warranty pag sa labas nagpakabit. Sa Toyota daw less than P1k lang ito. Balak ko rin po kasi magpalagay sa casa pagdating ng 15km PMS

yes madali lang maglagay ng aircon filter... bumili ka ng aircon filter then diy mo na lang pagkabit.. sana nung bago pa lang naka filter ka na para naiwasan ang mga dumi at alikabok sa airconditioning system mo. tatanggalin mo lang yung glove box mo and makikita mo na kung san ilalagay yung filter... wala pang 5mins tapos mo na yun...

sa casa meron aircon filter. mahirap linisin aircon ng vios. babklasin buong dashboard para makuha evaporator. nasa bandang gitna kc ito at aabutin din ilang araw sa casa bgo magawa (iiwanan mo kotse).

Never experience yun bad smell regarding aircon kahit rainy days, for me yun bad smell baka sa car freshner, poor maintenance, lack of habit with cleaning the car properly sometimes may smell galing sa pawis ng sakay or pagkain tinake-out haha pero ionizer lang katapat nun. Maybe that taxi driver was just not taking care of the car.. I have a 1.5G XX and 16k on my odometer so far no problems at all except that I had to replace the stock battery because I already experienced having a dead battery for the second time. After battery was replaced everything was back to normal.

Oh and one more thing regarding TAXI, I was able to ride on a vios taxi 2 weeks ago since I left my car at the casa for 15kpms. The odometer of the taxi was already 132,000++ and it seems that the taxi is still okay, no kalampags, heard some slight squeals, aircon smells good and still cold. I think with proper caring and maintenance vios will serve us for a long period of time

Hello! I'm thinking of going for the Vios 1.5g a/t. I've been reading so many thread for so many days, and most feedback seem to be positive... until I saw this old thread that mentioned some common problems of the Vios:

"1. kabig to the right
2. Headlight fuses & leak in the foglamps (luckily replaced by warranty).
3. oil leak sa shocks sa left rear..
4. Switch ng light. At first I thought busted yung bulbs. Pero sabi sa Casa, defective daw yung switch. Pinalitan ng bago yung buong switch module. Covered pa naman ng warranty
5. busted fuse, dahil defective daw un switch
6. headlights
7. moisture inside foglights
8. fuse. aircon belt
9. kabig to the right din and moisture sa headlamp
10. light switch on the 10000th km
11.1. CLUTCH PEDAL
kumalas sa bolt

11.2. H/LIGHTS FUSE
Busted. 300 km mileage

12 aircon belt producing noise during cold engine
13. 13,000kms on the odo. Only major problem encountered is may kabig sa kanan at 10,000km "

The thread this list came from is dated around 2005, so it's referring to a pretty old version of the Vios. According to my SA the latest Vios is exactly the same as the old ones (2009, even 2008?) aside from the aesthetics upgrade, so it would be a good basis. To the owners of the recent Vios, is this list still applicable or have been pretty much resolved in the Vios models after 2005?

sir ang alam ko pagbad smell ang aircon kailangan na palinis. kasi yung adventure namin ganun amoy fart hahaha. then ayun naisipan namin palinis na. tas sabi ng nagayos ganun daw talaga yun pagmadumi na bumabaho yung buga ng aircon. tas yung nalinis na ayun wala na amoy fart ha ha ha. nagsisihan pa kami kung sino yung nagfart yun pala yung aircon hahahaha

Got my 2010 Vios 1.3E last July. Issue that I encountered so far (after 1,200+ kms) is yung kabig sa right. Casa fixed it by realligning the wheels. Nawala na. Other than this, it has been rock-solid so far (knock on wood)

my friend wants to buy the top of the line vios... he asked me kung ano difference nung 1.5g and yung 1.5g leather... i was thinking leather seats siguro ang difference hehe

other than that, are there any cosmetic (or otherwise) differences?

is the 1.5g leather worth it? or pagawa na lang ng leather seats sa labas?

If I'm not mistaken, yung leather variant ay may 60:40 folding rear seats (please correct me if I'm wrong). Hence, it's Php36,000 more expensive than the standard 1.5AT. If I were your friend, yung standard 1.5AT na lang tapos pagawa na lang siya sa labas, usually mga Php5,000 lang naman kung seat cover. Ang maganda pa doon, pwedeng tanggalin kapag nadumihan o nasira.

Aside from the leather seats, may rear backup sensors ang top-of-the-line

Saw a vios XX kanina sa teachers village, medyo different lang since yung tail lights eh for the 2010 model na. Bagay din naman pala.

Di ko na nacheck yung harap, kasi, I needed to make a u-turn and go on the other way na, but I guess, 2010 na rin siguro grilles niya. ;)
