I'm officially canceling my Fortuner reservation sometime this week. The wait is too long for me. (And it might not be worth it)

Anyways, what are your opinions regarding this specific car (2005 Camry 2.4E)? Both good and bad criticisms are welcome.

looks good, both inside and out. some say comfy ride. ang down side lang, pang daddy nga ang looks. sugar daddy. hehe. but who cares.

given the chance, i'll get one to back up my Galant.

ayus na ayus yan :D sa mga models ngayon if we could compare cefiro galant and camry
    camry ang pinakamaganda

downside is parang ang mahal you can already get an suv with that price
1.6 m ata yan if hindi ako nagkakamali

A bit pricey (P1.325M) if you compare it with the Honda Accord VTI 2.4L (P1.2M).

I just couldn't stand those huge tail lights. The USDM version doesn't have lights on the trunk portion (which looks a LOT better).

my wife drives one (i drive it too sometimes) like the one pictured above and we love the camry . the downside is the "numb" ride but most people like the cushy, soft ride anyway. here though, the camry doesn't have that "daddy" image ya'll are talking about, it's just one of those everyday cars. i've never tried the 2.4 cuz we have the 3.3L V6 SE model ,but i'm sure it'll be a great car and a good car.

Upside: Nice ride, very roomy, Toyota reliability
Downside: Lacks a gear compared to the Accord, feather-light steering, no sports car feeling

The Camry is a good car no doubt. The Fortuner, being an SUV, will hold it's value longer though.

If it's you who's doing the driving, you might want to check out the Accord 2.4L as well. This is claimed to be a better "drivers" car.

I know that the Accord is a little more powerful than the Camry, but the reason for me picking the Camry is because I think that it is the best looking in its class.

Regarding the 'daddy image', I think nasa nagdadala na lang 'yon. I'm only 20 years old but I think that this car will suit me well. And anyways, look at the picture posted by sikuya. With a little modifications here and there, you can literally change the image of almost any car.

And to clarify things, the price is PHP1,295,000.00.

    Bry,

I agree with you on the Camry being the best looking in its class. With a 1.5-2" drop and some 18-19, or even 20" rims, good bye sugar daddy, and hello pimp daddy! Hehehe!

I currently drive a 2.0L model (check out my sig). It really isn't quick, owing to its size, but it's Toyota-torquey. I'm guessing that the 2.4L model has more power and torque, so yours should be quicker.

    Goodluck with the Camry. ;)

You sure? Toyota just hiked their prices a few weeks ago.

    Yes.

They hiked it, but for some reason there's a 'promo'. So the 'price hike' and the 'promo' cancel each other out. Weird huh?

Let me guess... off-invoice discount? If you opt for a higher discount, your AOR is also higher?

make sure you drop your suspension before getting 18s..ang pangit nung iba parang naka tiptoe hindi tuloy sporty..

    sikuya,
alam mo naman dito sa atin eh..kapag mga medium sedans usually mga itay/execs lang may-ari..kaya the accord cefiro camry sabi nila pang tatay di tulad diyan eh normal everyday car lang

    mazdamazda,

Nope. I think it's a sales strategy by Toyota. At first they tell you it's PHP1,325,000.00, then bigla ka hihiritan ng minus PHP30,000.00. Mind you, lahat ng Toyota branches na tinawagan and pinuntahan ko ganito yung sales pitch.
