another proof that the americans didnt hate us for rejecting the US bases agreement was the signing of the new agreement, the VISITING FORCES AGREEMENT

americans are not the only country that we should rely on when it comes to military hardware. if they are not willing to supply us what we need then we can source it out from other suppliers

when you defend a country, you need to display COURAGE
Well Uncle Sam doesn't hate us, but he doesn't show much love for the PH, either.

You have to wonder why, inspite of the PH being its ally in WWII and in the Korean War, we've lagged in getting significant military assistance. By significant, I mean that we don't even get offered more modern equipment for our air force and navy (i.e. figher jets and frigates). If you'll notice, the Hamilton Class Cutters which we turned into the Gorio and Ramon Alcaraz are strictly coast guard vessels. Sheesh, even our ability to track those who violate PH territory is limited to what is within visual range.

Buti pa ang Egypt at Pakistan. Ganun na lang ang bigay o benta ng US ng F16s at SAMs and at "friendly" terms.

    Nakow, ito ba yun:

"16 January 2013 – At approximately 08:00 GMT an Agusta AW109 on charter to Rotormotion clipped a construction crane attached to the St George Wharf Tower in Vauxhall, London, then crashed to the ground and burst into flames, killing the pilot and a person on the ground. The helicopter was completely destroyed and crane was also seriously damaged.

At around 1900 GMT on 30 March 2013, a South African Air Force A109 crashed while on anti-poaching patrol in the Kruger National Park in South Africa. All five SANDF members aboard were killed." (source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agusta...W109#Accidents)

I hope walang balita sa 2014 na isa nag crash sa WPS

"Clipped a construction crane...." = pilot error

Widely used ang AW109. It is also being used sa offshore rigs sa Malampaya. Meron naglalanding sa BGC every now and then.

the egyptians moved from under the sphere of influence of the soviets to the americans with the camp david accord, they are rewarded for that move. with egypt under the auspices of american geopolitical influence in the middle east the egyptians are assured of military assistance from the US. that goes to show that the egyptians will continue to receive favorable terms with the americans as long as they keep on being not hostile to israel

pakistan gets favorable treatment from the americans also due to the fact that indians opted for russian military hardware on most of its airforces fighter jets. this move helped the americans showcase their weapons which is advertised to be more superior than that of the american rivals the russians. add to that the fact that in the recently concluded hunt for bin la den was centered in that region, so they need access to much of their spies to move around pakistan in order to get their primary target since 2001

we dont get much favorable treatment from the americans because they know we are easy, they can get as much information from us by just a mere offer of a US visa. were also considered as a non front-line country in the battle against communism like taiwan, south korea & japan.

hopefully the simmering development in the west phil sea will change american attitude towards us

Land dear and holy, cradle of noble heroes, ne'er shall invaders trample thy sacred shore. The enemy is from within-the corrupt officials.
