Haha last post mo kasi was about uneven price decrease between gas and diesel. With this week's adjustment naisoli na yung kalahating piso na nilamang ng gas.

Yes I'm also looking forward to next week's adjustment. Have two cars below 1/4th tank waiting for price drop.

he said something like, "...they get their supply at a cheaper price than we do."

low startup capital and low overhead

very basic ang small player gas stations

no frills, walang kaartehan

and you don't need a lot of money to open an independent gas station (compared to buying a petron or shell franchise) so you don't need high profit margin to make ROI

more than 10 years ago. may friend akong Area Manager for the "old-big-3" (Caltex, Petron and Shell) -> this was before Caltex had Techron and Petron changed their logo

Almost 200k/month + car + house (if the manager is not a resident of the area) - of course free gas, toll and parking (when he visits Metro Manila)
Area Manager pa lang yan, think of the packages ng boss nya and above.
Then there's the shareholders

I don't think kaya ng small players yung package for their "Area Managers"

I can also vouch that the old-big-3 uses better additives for their fuel.
Pero, parang sabon lang yan. mahirap ipaglaban since di naman tayo chemist... and umaandar naman ng maayos cars natin.

I have to ask the owner of the photo he did not mention location on his post. But looks like it is somewhere outside Metro Manila based on the price.

Kung may pwesto ako corner lot main road napapaisip ako magtayo fuel station pero puro gasoline lang tapos ibagsak ko presyo na tutubo pa din pero madami magugulat bakit napakamura.

Imagine si rephil kaya nya ibagsak ganyan price. Baka pwede mas lower pa. Gagawin ko chicken wars / pizza wars ang fuel.
