I would just like to share my experience yesterday. I was in marcos highway going to a party in antipolo when traffic was so terrible for a christmas eve due to my surprise jeeps were causing the traffic in the riverbanks bridge in front of SM . So i was at the back of these 3 cars a CRV in front of me a DMAX in front of the crv and a new galant in front of them both traffic was at a stand still for 5mins maya maya ayan yung crv at dmax nag wawangwang na i think they were escorting the galant to my surprise pinalusot ng mga jeep yung galant and escorts pero this is what shocked me the most bumaba yung mga escort sa dmax at the directed the traffic habang nauna na yung galant at crv as in inayos talaga nila yung mga jeep di pumayag yung mga bodyguards for jeepneys to hog the road and create a traffic jam in a few moments nakalampas nko sa bottleneck caused by the jeep and traffic was flowing smoothly. hangang ngaun meron pa palang mga tao sa gobyerno my paki sa kapwa nila. thumbs up to that person they were escorting yan yung mga tao na responsible humawak ng mga wangwang how i wish other important people would be like that na hindi lang sila iniisip.

Just want to share my story thanks merrychristmas and a happynewyear -maktill

May their tribe increase! We need people like them who really goes out of their way to help the general public, without expecting anything in return....
    Wasn't it raining last night?

And to the jeepney drivers who make life miserable for everyone on the road....

Wish we could identify him. If he is running for a national office in 2010, I would vote for him.

This is what we sometimes do but not to the extent of going down in our vehicles. We use our microphone's para sigawan ung mga jeep and mga bus na wag tumunganga sa gilid kasi nakakatraffic talaga

One time naman sa MRT North Edsa there's this bus na flat ung gulong sa driver side but still running around 20kph sisigawan ko na sana when I saw the flat tire. I used the mic and he stopped. Minsan okay din magkaron ng gadgets, during emergencies magagamit. Eh pano pa kaya kung may carjacker, marinig lang na may mic around the area baka mag-dalawang isip na mang-carjack and isipin may pulis sa tabi tabi

"There are still some respectable people on the road."

Right... hindi lang yong mga ganon na nag-volunteer na nagdidirek ng traffic, kundi mismong mga drivers ng mga private vehicles na nagbibigay at nag-gi-give way.... Marami pa..

Unfortunately no numbered plates just this guys ordinary plates so there is no chance of identifying him. maybe when you pass by a CRV and DMAX escort only then he could he be identified. more power and blessings to this person may he/she keep up the good work. in the other hand pls give time to check out the goon squad if this story is true then there are your real politicians the story speaks for itself.

very good story, unfortunately real public servants are usually humble, so they don't go scratching just to get the spotlight. still, kudos to them at sana dumami ang katulad nila...

*lucius, the mic is a great idea! in the hands of a responsible citizen, it's a great tool to give education to bad drivers. if you don't mind, i'm curious why you got one...

*working pinoy, good point. in our own way, we should try to set a good example on the road hoping others will follow...

in tunasan, muntinlupa, they put pedestrian lanes, intersection boxes and traffic aides. it's kind of a new traffic culture, but it's nice to see how orderly it can be even during busy road hours. there's an SM mall opened last year, but traffic hasn't been so bad as expected coz there are road indents (jeepney stops).

...what's better is, in some areas with ped lanes, even without traffic aides, motorists stop to give way to people crossing the street.

with what i've observed, i think the general solution to making a better road community is by 1) setting up the infrastructure and road marks and 2) installing traffic aides to enforce the culture. once the habit sets in, the roads will be much more pleasant.
