NEVER EVER DELAY" hehehe

X-isle, the Do Not Delay decals/markings of doctors' vehicles (I have one on my vehicle pero EMERGENCY ang nakasulat) is for use only during emergencies. Local laws stipulate that in the process of responding to an emergency, a doctor's private vehicle is also accorded the same rights on the road as a fully-marked ambulance. I forgot the exact wording [tinuturo ito sa Legal Medicine]. It basically gives the doctors' vehicle some liberty to disregard some traffic laws (moving violations). Non-moving/equipment violations (no license plates, expired tags, etc.) are not exempted by this.

In a non-emergency situation, a doctor's vehicle is still covered by all applicable laws.

eh pano yun, lagi naman nakakabit ang signage na yun sa vehicle ng doctor... and may possibility na pwede sabihin ng doctor na "Emergency" kahit naman hindi... para lang lusot sya... isnt that posible? if it is... then it is as good as "a vehicle na may powers over moving viloations" .... am i right??

Yes, the system is open to abuse pero kadalasan ng mga ganun, hindi naman talaga doctor. Like yung naka-Pajero na may wang-wang dati posing as a doctor/fireman [sikat siya dito sa forum] . Most real doctors are mature enough to be honest. Kung may violation, violation talaga.

Talagang laging nakakabit yung mga markings. In my case it's a reflectorized decal that is visible from a good distance behind and an engraved steel signage above the front license plate (as wide as the license plate). Wala nang oras pang magsabit o magdidikit ng kung ano-ano during an emergency.

Si Dr. Calderon ang pinaka-pogi sa Aeromed. Siya din lecturer for the NLEX rescue team.

Doc Otep, may I ask kung Metro Manila lang ang coverage ng service ng Aeromed? Are there plans to expand to provincial areas? Taga-Quezon province kasi ako and being a prosecutor, I know for a fact that we have countless vehicular accidents that unfortunately lead to many deaths. Napakarami naming reckless imprudence cases sa opisina, especially those involving motorcycles kasi yun ang primary sasakyan ng karamihan dito sa probinsya. Avoidable sana kung may reliable na emergency ambulance service kagaya ng Aeromed, at least for people who can afford the service. Thank you. I took down Aeromed's emergency number in case I'm in the Metro and will need emergency assistance.

    Mabuhay kayo sa Aeromed!

Sir, hindi ko pa lang po sure kung ano ang expansion plans. AFAIK, baka magkaron din ng base dun sa new expressway going from NLEX to Subic.

Yung sa bandang south is under Lifeline Rescue pa po, AFAIK. Pero kung stabilized na yung patient (e.g. nadala na sa ospital) and for medivac to another hospital for definitive care, available po ang Aeromed. Wala pa lang first responder capabilities in those areas as of now.

Naisip kita nung G2 explosion. Nagpunta ba kayo dun? Mula Bulacan yata may mga ambulance pa papuntang makati eh.
