Suzuki is number 1 in india. Part of the reason is because they have a lineup of fuel efficient crdi engines for the swift.ertiga.baleno.ciaz and etc. Im wondering why they skip those engines here.

It would cost too much. The price of the units would be too high compared to ASEAN made units (since the diesel engines are not made in ASEAN or distributed in the ASEAN), and parts availability will be poor.
Look at it this way:
The Suzuki Ertiga in India offers the same 1.3 diesel that the Spin uses.
Which one costs more?
Which one sells better?
