The answer is exactly the same as in your thread asking why Honda doesn't bring in diesels.
It would cost too much. The price of the units would be too high compared to ASEAN made units (since the diesel engines are not made in ASEAN or distributed in the ASEAN), and parts availability will be poor.
Look at it this way:
The Suzuki Ertiga in India offers the same 1.3 diesel that the Spin uses.
Which one costs more?
Which one sells better?
