You can get a diesel 7-speed DCT Soul for that kind of money. But the Soul does not have a panoramic sunroof nor a tablet on the dash

The Vitara is a very good proposition. It definitely makes the crossover segment very interesting

GLX lang ung may 2-tone paint. 6 airbags vs 2 sa GL, 10" screen vs, 7", 6 speakers vs. 4. LED vs halogen, sunroof, 17" rims vs 16", leather/suede seats vs fabric, and othe chrome trims vs painted. Worth it na yung 100k price difference

The panoramic sunroof is something that I prefer to have an option to exclude from the GLX variant. I think the shade that comes with the Vitara will not be enough to reduce the heat. Perhaps an after market shade replacement or a good tint, or some ugly workarounds like putting a heat insulation between the sunroof and shade would do.

I guess we'll need to test it properly to see if it can withstand ung init.

Ako rin e. ok na ko sa Vitara, except for the sunroof. Gusto ko yung may sunroof, pero I did not expect na ganun kanipis yung cover. Parang deal breaker for me. I still have to think about it.

Pwede kayang ipacustomize ang color ng Vitara? Let's say instead of having black for the two-tone ipapalagay is white?

There are two problems that will prevent buyers from getting the new vitara.

    1. Non existent dealer network.

    2. Availability of spare parts outside the dealer.

Marami naman na ang Suzuki vehicles, parang successful naman sila sa Swift and APV, although agree smaller pa rin ang dealer network nila than most.

Best to ask Suzuki owners of 5yo or older cars with their after sales and maintenance experiences. I reckon after sales services will vary per dealership. Availability of spare parts will be a major concern especially for newer models like this new Vitara. A specialized Suzuki repair shop or an independent Suzuki expert mechanic could be rare.

I do see several APV’s roaming around. I wonder where do they buy their spare parts.

My family owned a super carry before. Wala kang mabili masyado sa auto supply. Had to buy from Phil Hino sa reliance mandaluyong which was super expensive.

What you said is possible. But it all remains to be seen.

Yuppies wont be inclined to go to banawe to have their cars fixed. Accessorized, yes.

The dealer network problem is still not addressed. But you cant blame suzuki for their small presence since hindi din naman sila ganun kalaki unlike toyota & honda.

dapat nga hindi lumaki dealer network eh, kasi the more nag-branch out lalo nagmamahal ang presyo ng car. kita mo Isuzu mura lang intro ng MuX nuon, pero ngaun plus 300k na srp, pero dealer network naging 40 plus nationwide.

more dealers mean more mouths to feed in terms of personnel, why for the ease of owners na meron malapit sa kanila casa. ang napansin ang presyo ng parts same lang lagi sa banawe, pero sa casa nag-quadruple na ang parts price supimula na nag-branch out sila kung saab-saan

so a small dealership would be nice for Suzuki coz. wala gano imaintain na dealership, mas maconcetrate sa quality control.

Bro the price of a car is not dictated by how many dealership a car company has. Dont know where u got that information.

totoo naman yan eh, nowadays we have so many dealers offering the same thing. parang yun Hedgren saka Hush Puppies nun nasa Rustan's pa lang sila, 2K to 3K per shoes, pero nun nag-branch out naging 5K per shoes. still the same shoes

ang dapat i-branch out ay ang service but not the dealership. kasi sales can be downsized into a select few power salesmen, but quality mechanics hinde. kita nyo ginagawa ngaun ng ibang sales, the bad ones, pati parts binabanatan, binabarkada pa ang mechanic. case in point what happened to that Toyota na pinag-student driver yun Fort.

now regarding, dealerships. I think a lot of banks na madami depositor invested their money on dealerships, so that they can provide a good return for their depositors. but the thing is car sales is as traditional as 20 years ago, it's basically dealer price + markup = sales. asan ang growth dyan to support multiple dealerships in difference of 10KM lang per area. the dealerships themselves are competing with each other. so ano nangyari nagimbento ng dealer incentive at kung ano-ano pa charges just to make the markup, para mag-survive ang maintenance ng dealership.

need I remind you that cars today are a one time buying product, parang crocs. when you buy a crocs, baka hinde kana bumile after 10 years na. ganun din ang cars. it's not like bonchon or jollibee, na pag kumain ka ngaun, may repeat kain tomorrow or next week.

so if Suzuki plays this right, wag na sya mag-expand ng dealership. with the bang for the buck pricing , dadayuhin na ng future Vitara GLX owner ang casa nila.

Was trying to search for reviews for the Vitara since it has been present in other countries for quite some time now. All the reviews that I've watched so far were all positive. One review even chose the vitara over hrv and 2008. I guess this car really is a bang for the buck.
