Hi Team Swift,

1st time car buyer po here. nagreresearch po ako about suzuki swift and parang nadiscontinue na po ata ung 1.5L na version nya tama po ba? puro 1.2L at 1.4L nalang nakikita ko na available sa market.

1. Ask ko lang po kung ok ba ung 2012 Swift 1.5L na nakapost recently sa OLX? ano po ba ang sakit ng 2012 model? hindi ko po kaya bumili ng brand new and yung other thread ng suzuki swift ay 2014.

2. gusto ko rin po malaman kung malaki difference ng 1.2 sa 1.4 at sa 1.5 na model. plano ko kasing iakyat sa baguio ung car na jampacked.. mas prefer ko po ung mas mataas ung cc kaso pag tingin ko sa specs, di masyado nagkakalayo ung hp at torque ng 1.2 sa 1.4 at 1.5L.

1st time po namin magkakaCAR sa family tska 2nd hand lang. hayaan ko na ung mechanic ang maginspect pero gusto ko parin malaman ung common na sakit ng swift. sa mga nababasa ko masarap sya idrive at matipid sa FC, pogi pa.

just an update. i just had my 25k kms pms at my suking Servitek: Suzuki Swift 1.4 mt. i used to experience the rattling under chassis sounds during my early stage of ownership way back in 2012. 500 kms ago i encountered a rattling sound again, but it turns out a loose brake caliper pins. my mechanic fixed it with a rubber stopper to keep the pin from vibrating. so far so good, the car is performing superbly. I average 16 kms per liter in highway run & 9 in the city. i'm running on 17's. recently i bought a set of deep dish mat and it perfectly fits. happy with its performance & driving dynamics.[emoji594]⛽️[emoji613]

If first-time buyers or just interested to know more about the Swift, message lang po! Will refer to an agent. Oks na oks if taga South (Las Piñas, Parañaque, Makati, etc.) rin po kayo kasi dun ang kanyang branch. Salamat po!

I had my 30k pms with my Swift 1.4 last Tuesday sa suking Shell station. I used Shell Helix ultra w0-40 fully synthetic good for 10k. Previously I used Mobil w0-50. The car feels lighter in term of acceleration & nimbler as before. Have to observe the fuel consumption in the succeeding days.

they don't have 5w-30. got 0w-40 instead since gas naman siya. pag diesel semi synthetic ang gamit ko sa shell. price is discounted.

noob question lang, I've had my swift, (1.2) serviced at shell changeoil+ twice na. Interval of 6 mos. Pag ba mag papa pms uli ako sa casa, same parin ang price based sa schedule nila? My swift is nearing 2 years na ang it needs replacements of spark plugs, fuel filter and etcs.

Question: What advantage does one get in getting a unit from a local dealer (Iloilo) as compared to getting a unit in Metro Manila and drive it back?

Any issues in servicing? How would the warranty work?

I've seen the Swift 1.2 MT sell for 638k in Metro Manila, but 708k here locally. Thats a 70k markup! I estimated the trip from Manila to Iloilo would cost me less than 20k plus vacation time.
