k14b and k15b probably similar? just difference displacement? i noticed that the exhaust manifold is in front i wonder what the benefit is
as for k15b suzuki is confident enough to use it in their legendary small truck so it's probably a tough engine
the engine blocks are similar. Just the bore/strokes are the difference between the two engines. K14B was never saw use in truck/RWD applications though only on the old Ertiga and the Ciaz, which those are FWD. Unlike the K15B used in RWD trucks (Jimny, Carry) and FWD MPVs (Ertiga 2nd gen, XL7).
Ayos pala itong Ertiga sa tibay. Puwedeng next i consider ang Ertiga/XL7 sa next options.
Labas nito mga 30k per year ang takbo. Sulit.
Ano pala ang oil change routine nito, mineral ang gamit?
Most of the time I follow the 5K oil change interval and there are times also kapag super busy around 7 K na umaabot minsan.
Oil na ginagamit is the mineral blend oil ni Suzuki na 5w30 which is the repackaged semi synthetic oil of Total

based solely on suzuki's kei cars, or locally known as multicabs, i think suzuki cars can take a beating. since 2004 i had one that i mostly use on unpaved mountain roads in the province. usual maintenance lang and it never left me stranded.
was also considering the 2nd gen before we were compelled to assume paying for the in-law's 2nd gen innova.
matitibay engines ng suzuki.. lalo na yan K series nila.. small pero malakas. may ibang F series pa nga na may turbo eh..
