Mas ok contact mo jut hehehe. Suzuki did an awesome job in pricing the ertiga and severely undercutting the avanza. Hopefully they get the price right. The 1.25L ciaz is rated 20km/l in thailand.

The Ertiga is Suzuki's greatest hit so far, a good car at a competitive price. Yet, the Avanza still outsells it 2 to 1.
Makes me think that Toyota's overpriced IMVs will still be dominant. Nothing we can do about it, people believe in the brand so much already.

With the current avanza pricing. I think that 2000:1000 ratio will be 1800:1200 at the end of the year.
SPH is doing well imo. But the ciaz I think will not sell as well as the ertiga, celerio and swift.

I don't think it'll even come close to toppling the Vios and City. The subcompact segment is just way too competitive.
But at least now they enter the war with a gun and not a batuta.

March 3rd, 2016 01:01 PM #25From Toyota's website, the Vios E AT is currently at 778k. So if the Ciaz undercuts the price and knowing how Suzuki gives discounts, baka mga low 700s. TOTL na kaya yun?
Ganda ng dimensions. almost ka-size ng mga previous gen compacts. 2650mm wheelbase is just 5cm short ng sa altis. nice.

First off, we'd like to announce that the Philippine-market Ciaz will be powered by the same 1.4-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine found on the Ertiga, albeit tuned specifically for the requirements of a small sedan. Under the hood of the Ciaz, this powerplant is rated at 92hp (at 6,000rpm) and 130Nm (at 4,000rpm). Suzuki Philippines, for now, has no intent to bring in the diesel variants.
