The TH-spec Suzuki Ciaz has a 1.25-liter K12B engine which puts out 91 PS and 118Nm. The Indian-spec however will be available with a 1.4-liter inline-four and a 1.3-liter diesel. There is no word yet what kind of powertrain/s will be available to the PH-spec Ciaz.
is this out already? chineck ko yung fb page ng Suzuki Auto Pulilan and they have pictures already. mukhang walang diesel..sad
To launch by April 2016 with pricing around 850k according to my contact.
Just talked to the Suzuki guys. There'll be a media run this March.
Launch price will undercut the Vios E. No specs yet though.

If it undercuts the Vios then that ain't the one with a diesel engine. hehehe
I want freaking diesel!! :D
From Toyota's website, the Vios E AT is currently at 778k. So if the Ciaz undercuts the price and knowing how Suzuki gives discounts, baka mga low 700s. TOTL na kaya yun?
Ganda ng dimensions. almost ka-size ng mga previous gen compacts. 2650mm wheelbase is just 5cm short ng sa altis. nice.
Mas ok contact mo jut hehehe. Suzuki did an awesome job in pricing the ertiga and severely undercutting the avanza. Hopefully they get the price right. The 1.25L ciaz is rated 20km/l in thailand.
The Ertiga is Suzuki's greatest hit so far, a good car at a competitive price. Yet, the Avanza still outsells it 2 to 1.
Makes me think that Toyota's overpriced IMVs will still be dominant. Nothing we can do about it, people believe in the brand so much already.

With the current avanza pricing. I think that 2000:1000 ratio will be 1800:1200 at the end of the year.
SPH is doing well imo. But the ciaz I think will not sell as well as the ertiga, celerio and swift.
I don't think it'll even come close to toppling the Vios and City. The subcompact segment is just way too competitive.
But at least now they enter the war with a gun and not a batuta.

Depends on how you look at it.
Suzuki tuned the Ertiga nicely. If they do the same to the Ciaz then we can expect that it will be thrifty as well.
But then again, Fuel consumption is just one of the many things a buyer looks at.
