[/SIZE] [SIZE=2]Riding on the success of its "Green car" label in European markets, the A-star, Maruti Suzuki's flagship world strategic model for global markets, crossed export mark of 1 lakh units, with the shipment from Mundra Port, today..

The company has achieved 1 lakh units cumulative export of A-star in less than a year since its first shipment to Europe in January this year.

Suzuki's fifth world strategic model, A-star was launched in India in November 2008. Manufactured at Maruti Suzuki's Manesar plant, India is the sole base for production of this flagship export model of Suzuki, Japan. The car is being exported to 69 countries.

Europe has emerged as the major export destination for A-star, where the car is sold as Suzuki Alto. Maruti Suzuki has exported 93,562 units of A-star to Europe alone. Currently, A-star sells in 19 countries in Europe. UK, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, France are some of the major markets. With the next generation K-series engine, the A-star has been rated as number one environmental friendly petrol car in Germany. The European version of A-star sports a Euro V compliant engine that emits CO2 as low as 103 gms per kilometer.

Other major markets for A-star, where it is sold as Suzuki Celerio include Chile, Angola, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Algeria and UAE. Like European countries, the car is sold as Suzuki Alto in South Africa, Australia and New Zealand markets.

In the first phase of A-star export plan, Maruti Suzuki has already covered many key markets in Western Europe, Africa, South America and Asia. In the second phase, Maruti Suzuki will target East European markets.

The A-star has led Maruti Suzuki's export growth this fiscal so far. During April-November this fiscal, the company has exported 91,731 units whereas, during full fiscal last year, Maruti Suzuki's export was 70,023 units.[/SIZE] [SIZE=2]

Still kawa parin un nakabili ng brand new unit na parang di brand new. Kung sakali papalitan kaya nila un defective na unit para di nmn sila masira sa mga future customer. Kung ganun kalakas un benta nila edi drop in a bucket lang un para palitan nila.

kung hindi sa india, malamang sa local dealer ng suzuki dinale ito (reputed in the past for "band aid solution" & terrible afersales).

may magagalit dito for sure pero personal experience ko sa mga indians eh magagaling sa papel. ano ibig kong sabihin, mahilig sa mga superlative words sa report gaya ng "all equipments working in perfect condition" in reality nasira na pala nila tinatago lang bulilyaso. saka para mabango sila sa management, after ng promotion & salary increase. i can go on & on maraming ganyang kaso pag sila humawak, kawawa yung mga sumasalo.

ouch hehe, pero ito ay subsidiary ng Suzuki Motors Corporation Japan, so dapat may sinusundan silang quality, kung hindi panira sila sa Suzuki brand name. Suzuki pa naman ang sikat sa Japan pagdating sa kei cars. Try going there hehe.

Ano ba kayo, malamang dati itong test drive unit tapos binenta na. It is a lemon car indeed pa rin naman. Local dealer ng Suzuki ito nadali malamang, ano sa tingin niyo guys?

Nakita ko na yun version ng Suzuki Alto ng Japan...ang pangit ng porma. I think they were trying to capture a classic look...pero mukhang kahon na may gulong ang naging itsura.

Why waste time waiting for something you can get cheaper? Just have a 3rd party alarm w/ central locking installed. It would cost you just over P2K (labor included) at the car accessory stores in Metro Manila.

got my silver suzuki celerio last monday (dec 7), dealer is from suzuki e rod... wala naman po ako mareklamo sa agent ko, siguro kasi mahaba talaga ang pasensya ko... there were few problems sa timeliness ng delivery but they compensated naman sa ibang bagay... overall rating sa service nila is 4 out of 5...

in terms naman po of the car's performance, will try to give you my best opinions, d po kasi ako masyado maalam sa cars...

after driving a toyota innova g, nahirapan ako shifting to a celerio kasi sa big differece in their engines (innova is 2.0 while celerio is 1.0), sanay sa mabilis na takbo kaya medyo disappointed kay celerio nung umpisa... later on nasanay na din ako sa kanya... 2 weeks after getting BUMbee (my celerio's name) very satisfied ako sa performance niya, current mileage is 602 and roughly ay 12km/L ako city driving...

my daily commute would mean sa nlex ako dadaan, able to rev up BUMbee to 140kph... nung una, medyo may amoy na parang nasusunog pag ganun na kabilis ang takbo, lately nawawala na sya... ok po ba ung ganun? or do i need to slow down/ my cousin's say na dapat itest ang limits nung car habang bago... we still believe kasi in the old fashioned break in even though the dealers say na "broken in" na ang makina pagkalabas pa lang ng planta...

bad trip lang nung una ung busina, tunog scooter and ala pumapansin sa akin sa hi way... madaming beses na muntik ako mabangga because of that so i took my chances na sa warranty and replaced it with a bosch horn... also added an alarm... for me kasi better safe than sorry...

dami ko pa gusto idagdag kaso have to finish work pa... next time po uli ha...

Any one else here driving celerio matic that measures fuel consumption? I got my celerio last Dec 10 in pasig. Ive been measuring its fuel consumption. First test is 13.7, then 12.7 and today 14L/km all mixed city and hiway driving (manila to batangas). Agents are telling different story when it comes to fuel consumption, natanong ko n ata lahat ng dealers, meron ave 17L, mababa n daw 15 so im worried ang takaw sa gas unit ko. When it comes to driving I've read all the tips to drive efficiently so I think oks na driving ko. So dinala ko sya s agent ko for checkup, (d nga lng updated ung computer nila for the model kya d na diagnose) so manual check ginawa nmin, with 20Km driving 14L computation. My question is, malakas po b sya s gas for 1.0L? Just wanted to hear from other celerio matic owners pra magkaron tau benchmark...
One thing I noticed, mukang malambot ung gulong nya khit s loaded recomended pressure w/c is 36. So ginawa ko 40 after ko magfull tank ayun kya ko cguro naabot 14L/km with 300KM driving, parang ang dulas ng takbo nya mejo matalbog nga lng pro good ride pdin.

Sa experience ko with my 1.5G Toyota Avanza A/T i got 12 km/liter city driving (experiment ko lng yung driving ko) then punta kami Anilao Batangas from Cavite but nag full ako ng malapit na ako sa south super highway, so i got 14 km/liter (may konting trafic sa carmona). I don't know yet our White Celerio A/T kasi dito pa ako sa Abu Dhabi and no chance to experiment uli. Pero base on my wife's feedback after giving her instructions on how to compute the fuel consumption lumabas na 17 km/liter sya (w/ aircon). Kung ako siguro gagamit palagay ko kaya kong palabasin un 19 km/liter (city driving). For sure after ng change oil mo (use fully synthetic) mas titipid un consumption mo.

anu ask ko lang kung anu ang speed ng celerio sa 2000 RPM sa 5th gear ng M/T at sa 4th gear ng A/T.

agents will tell you anything just for you to buy their product. my mazda SA even told me that a mazda 3 consumes around 10 to 12 kms per liter city and 15 kms per liter hiway...so i bought one, and i was shocked to know that i was given the wrong info re: FC..

We got our celerio cash, masyadong malaki un interest ng bank kung installment. Kahit in-house financing nila ganun din ang laki ng interest at parang mas priority pa nila un installment kasi mas malaki kikitain nila kaysa sa cash.

May bad experience pa nga kami sa dealer at hinala ko related un naging problem sa financing issue. Well tapos na un at kahit papano masaya naman kami sa unit nmin ngyon.

hi guys im planning to buy a suzuki celerio next month...tanong ko lang kung ano advisable na size ng tires sa 15 inches na mags and for the mags anong offset ok sa celerio before kasi i had a jazz since hatchback sensitive sa offset kaya ang dami na rubbing issues sa fenders. tnx in advance
