July 22nd, 2005 06:55 PM #183Hello Al!
First time kong mag-log dito the Forum. I too am an APV owner, for 3 weeks na. I fell for the APV for 2 reasons... for 750T I got a top of the line unit, and if I throw that for Innova, kulang-kulang naman ako sa features. Hanggang 750T lang ang kaya ko. Dapat nga sana manual, kaso pinikot ako ni misis sa matic, dahil sa dual-aircon
Second, is my leg room. Being a 6 foot giant, fitting myself in the Revos, Adventures, and Crosswinds, is a problem. Dito sa APV, I fit in, with a little room to spare. Wala na lang yung switch para sa fuel lid, so I need to pull the keys out when I go to the gas station.
Mileage...medyo talo ako dahil sa trapik, lalu na dahil sa matic. Bumabawi ako for long trips. Punta ako ng Pampanga (90km), halos hindi nagalaw ang fuel gauge ko.

July 26th, 2005 09:43 AM #186ReplayJeans, are u referring to the rims or the tires themselves? The stock model uses r185 tires, but the specs says we can use r195 for added ground clearance. I've thought of replacing the tires, but naahhh, I'll put that for later. I'll replace them with bigger ones when its time.
5Speed, if you choose the manual, you DON'T have dual aircon, that fancy CD player, power mirrors, and the adjustable steering wheel. The other "missing items" are more of the interiors which have no bearing to your driving controls. You still have the power windows and locks, which I consider the basics for a car.
I'm told that for manual owners, you can upgrade to dual aircon, for 20k-30k, but you may have to wait for a few months more as the kits have yet to arrive. I'm still thinking of putting a roof rack, which if available, will be glued, as there's nothing on the roof to snap it with. Ok ba ito?
If fuel economy if what you're after, go for manual. I'm getting 8km/liter for long, straight trips (not stuck in traffic) on the matic, maybe if I'm on manual, I could stretch it 10km/liter.

Just want to ask the same thing i asked with Macky, underpowered ba ung engine ng APV? Any negative comments or feedbacks? I prefer to listen to you APV owners than some of those here na hindi naman nakakatulong though nakakatawa rin naman. Thanks

July 27th, 2005 12:55 AM #190hi francisco,
thx for the reply. pardon my ignorance on tyres... i think as far as possible, the overall tyre size must be the same as the original else need to do calibration to the speedometer... I am thinking of changing to a larger rim say 17 inch with bigger tyre width say 205... anyway once I have my car I will drive to the tyre shop and seek advice from them
Yikes that(tesla) is even worse although upon some additional reading i'm not even sure our Seagull...
