butchokuy: The Vitara is a very trail-capable vehicle even in its stock form. Look at the pics during the 1st and 2nd Delta Recon Clinic and you'll see that most of the Vitaras that participated where mostly in stock form only. May I invite you to our Vitara EB later para you could get to know more about it.

hello vitara owners, id just want to know more about the vitara. read a lot of informative threads here re its fuel consumption, one said malakas sa gas, another matipid daw parang 1.6 engine lang....anyone have actual kms/li measurements here? and, ano ba engine ng vitara? 2li. ba ito? and is it fuel injected?....thanks.

don't have one but happen to ask a close friend today about his '96 JLX auto tranny. 6-7 km/liter siya. 1.6L liter yung engine

The Vitara's engine is a 1.6li 16 valve SOHC. My average consumption goes from 8-8.5km/li city driving.

1.6 lang pala ang vit, thought 2 li sya...wiretap, diba may konti modifications engine mo? medyo ok din pala konsumo nito. anyways, thanks for the replies.
