Zafra Makati or Cruven Makati

Hi Guys,

I went to Zafra Makati kanina para pa check yung lagutok sa front wheel ko pag lumiliko at nalulubak or dumadaan sa humps and Lino test drive my 1991 Toyota Corolla Wagon.

Estimate parts for KYB Suspension, Steering Clamp, Suspension Boot/bushing, 555 Ball Joint and isang part hindi ko maalala ay 9,300+ and 3,200 for the labor.

Lino told me kung gusto ko daw makamura bili nalang ako ng parts sa labas or sa Taurus para isang shop nalang bibilihin ko.

So I went to Taurus and bought all the parts for 7,400. I went back to Zafra Makati and ask for a discount para sa labor and we agreed on 2,800. Pero bukas ko na papagawa kasi it's 3pm na and matagal daw gagawin yung akin.

Ngyon po concern ko kasi, I've read a lot of horrible stories about other Zafra braches and most of good feedbacks ng Zafra ay sa Zafra Makati branch.

Then I've read a lot of good reviews about Cruven Camp Crame but wala pa akong nakikitang feed back about Cruven Makati.

So hingi po sana ako mg recommendation sa mga tsikoters na may experience sa Zafra Makati or Cruven Makati. Mamaya ko na po kasi babalik sa Zafra yung auto ko, pero hintay muna ako nga mga feedbacks.

since may parts ka na naman and install na lang.... cruven ako.

suspension isn't watch precision repair. any decent mechanic can do it.
i bring mine to the pedro gil auto parts supply and have the tambay mekanikos do it.
i used to have the pasay rotonda guys do it, but pedro gil is nearer the workplace..
either is probably cheaper than the evangelista pirates (kung mamalasin ka.. hindi naman lahat).
then i go to servitek at otis for the alignment.

since you already have the parts, you might try the non-branded mechanics...

My dad recommended me a shop in Zobel Roxas kasi eh, spent 8k for parts and labor, nawala for about a week yung tunog then after that mas lumakas yung tunog. binabalik ko para mapahigpitan kung ano yung maluwag since may warranty pa pero naiinis na ako every week ako balik ng balik dun so ayun, looking for a really good shop between zafra makati and cruven makati.

Sir,matagal na ba sau ung auto?meron din akong corolla wagon(CE96).Na experience ko na din ung lagutok sound sa suspension nung nakuha ko ung wagon sa toyota alabang(TAI ex taxi)Jdm e2 kya right hand drive,converted to lhd.Nagpalit ako buong cross member kasama rack & pinion/steering column galing sa corolla ae92 na pang lhd.Gumastos ako 5t sa parts.nawala na kalampag.ung regarding naman sa tunog pag lumiliko,sa drive shaft/axle un.,bka cra na drive shaft/axle boot.pag punit na kse rubber boot at mawala na grasa sa loob o kaya napadaan ka sa baha,dun na magsisimula lagutok nun pag lumiliko.inangat ba(lifter) ung auto mo nung pina estimate mo,o test drive lng?mashado mahal inabot parts mo.bka kse d naman cra ung iba na pinabili sau.dun mo nalang dalhin sa zafra makati na nag estimate sau.para just incase d pa rin mawala kalampag ng auto mo,mali pag diagnose nla.

eto ba yung puputulin ang ilalim ng ball joint, then lalagyan ng thread at stop, at hihigpitan ng mahabang lateral screwdriver?
i tried that before, a long time ago. i wouldn't recommend it, because it feels lousy to the manibela, and because it needs periodic tightening... probably the only ones who will agree to that, are the ones who can not find a replacement ball joint anymore..

my recommendation for suspension parts is, replacement with original or third party parts of good quality. i have good experience with the sardine brand. i do not recommend "re-building" or "re-manufacturing", except when replacements are impossible to source.

6 Years na project car nang dad ko, 2 years na stock sa garahe, na lubog sa baha twice last May ko lang po nagamit nang araw-araw. Technically sir newbie palang ako pag dating sa car parts, nag lalabasan lahat ng sira nung ginamit ko na hehe. Yung tunog sa suspension sir lumabas lang po ito after pinalitan nang surplus na suspension last August. May leak na kasi yung suspension ko. Then yung lagotok sa ilalim meron na po siya bago ko pa po pinaayos, nung pinaayos ko sa zobel nabawasan pero meron pakonti konti. Then after nun lumala, may hinigpitan then totally nawala, pero bumalik.

Then recently lang sir mga last week may lagutok pag nililiko yung manibela specially nag paparallel parking ako.

Try nyo po an mayo in evangelista. Dun po kmi ngpapa maintenance ng honda civic lxi 96. Magagaling po an technician nila. Me mga ngpapa maintenance dn po ng toyota, mitsubishi, etc...

zafra bautista ako nag papagawa basta sa suspension hanapin mo nalang si erik.ung mamang malaki ang tiyan..siya chief mechanic dun..at sa kanya mo ipa road test ung tsikot mo..wag sa iba basta si erik lang hanapin mo dati service niya ung owner na naka parada sa harap mizmo ng zapra ngayon yata ung toyota love life na kulay blue,,

Na tyempohan ko si Erik nung wala si lino. Sila nag palit ng break pad and break drum ko. Tinanong ko kung ano name nya after gawin at mag road test. Sabi niya si Erik. Si Lino and Erik mag kapatid, mas matanda si Erik.

Pareho silang polido gumawa at trust worthy, mas may experience lang si Erik.

As of now wala ng lagutok sa auto ko, ok na rin breaks ko. Good for city driving na.
