When it comes to tires, don't skimp out on them as these can mean a lot on your (and that of others) safety on the road. ;)

14" tires? Goodyear Ducaros are quite okay... As mentioned on other countless threads, avoid Goodyear NCT3's (can't believe theys still produce these tires).

I purchased a set of Yokohama S306s for me 96 Honda Civic VTi a couple of years back.

While the grip is still good to this day the road noise is just too much!!!!!! I feel like I'm driving a Land Cruiser or something while driving along SSH...

Is there a tire brand that gives minimal road noise as it wears down? What causes road noise in the first place???

i just got a set of falken landair for my crv. Mas tahimik and less harsher ang ride compared to my previous dunlop sp70. Dunlop mabilis talaga mapudpod and magbukol sa sidewall

I've heard that those S306s were noisy buggers. Someone said they were even worse than SUV tires.

In that profile range, (I'm guessing 185-60-14?) Bridgestone Turanza GR80s are great and quiet. Very grippy for comfort tires, too... kaya lang, baka mahal.

I'm not sure if Turanza ER60s are quieter than S306s, as they're noisier than GR80s (which is why my cousin swapped them for the GR80s).

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

S306's are noisy indeed... but wet handling and threadwear is much better then the NCT3's.

Tire noise is basically a design and composition element.

    Thanks for the inputs guys...

Do Michelin Energy tires last long? How's their treadwear rate? How about road noise?

I know for a fact that their grip is just phenomenal...

Maganda din ba ang BFGoodrich? Alam ko mura lang din to. Sino na nakasubok dito?

Curious lang ako sa nasa website nila:

Building the world's fastest front-wheel-drive time attacker
    November 22, 2005

When sport compact superstar RJ de Vera planned the Time Attack RSX, his object was to build America's fastest front-engine, front-wheel-drive time attacker. Making his project even more interesting, RJ's Time Attack RSX track car runs street-legal tires: BFGoodrich 265/35R18 g-Force T/A®KD tires.

"I think the g-Force KD will give us the best grip and the best chance of achieving the fastest lap." -RJ de Vera

BFGoodrich® g-Force™ tires have long distinguished themselves in the time attack arena. The BFGoodrich tires-equipped Signal Auto Skyline R-34 has won several events and set the highest cornering mark The Tire Rack has ever recorded.

It's also the Honda CRV, Hyundai Sta. Fe... tires as original equipment.

KUMHO. Ilang sasakyan na dito sa kumpanya namin ang sinabugan ng gulong and all of them are KUMHOS. Tried those tires before too and 2 out of 4 tires ko sumabog while running, buti sa likod yung sumasabog lagi.

Best bang-for-the-buck size for that: 195/55R15 tires and 15" rims.

price of rubber now are soaring high too,. so most branded tires are kinda pricey already, marami ng mga cheap and yet durable tire brands like Federal, Nankang, GT Radial, Nexen tires etc. etc. For that size ata, price can range (siguro, not sure) estimate starts at P2.4k up to P3k+/ tire, depends on brand as well. For the bigger tires naman (Wrangler, Dueler, Scorpion, Grandtrek etc.) di ko kabisado prices nila ehh, hehe!

Or PM 'Baiskee'... he's selling tires.

    Mga bossing,

my tita's ride needs tire change (all 4). her ride is 2003 Lynx Ghia tire size is 195/55/R15, current rubber installed is Dunlop LM702. Ayus na sana yun Dunlop pero napansin ko all but 1 merong bukol kaya iwas dunlop ang Tita ko.

ano ba magandang tire para sa ride nya? nakapagtanong nga pala ako dito sa Big A Auto Tech Center (along Aguinaldo Hi-Way, Bacoor, Cavite) eto yun price quote sa akin para sa apat na gulong inc. installation and wheel balancing/alignment:

    falken Ziex ZE512 Php12,800
    Potenza GII Php14,400
    Hankook Aport NSII Php10,000

sabi nun kausap ko kung pwede pa gamitin yung mga gulong na luma presyohan nya daw ng 300 per tire.

ayus ba tong presyo na 'to?

    Thanks a lot!
