Which Suspension shop are uou referring? They are obviously taking you for a ride, there's no need or no hydraulics for a stabizer link, just a pair of links with some rubber bushings. Now if htey are referring to shock absorvber due to worn out struts Orings, spare yourself from trouble. In my experience these things are better replaced than repaired. it's a hit or miss thing, sometimes shocks tends to be too hard and you'll suffer a stiff rides, and most of the time it leaks again eventually. Shocks struts/shaft also wear out and even with a new O-ring will still seeps out the hydraulic oil.
