if your pads are so worn out and your caliper pistons stuck out beyond designed limits because of too thin brake rotors and too thin brake pads, they might not retract from caliper seal memory retention. the pistons too, if they are rusted because of torn dust boots will seize and not retract. remember, there is no return springs for the caliper pistons. the other possibility is that the brake hoses might have restriction. it might have residual pressure because of this constriction in the hose and it tends to build up heat and pressure thereby self applying the front brakes when you don't need it to.
