Hi Guys - I'm having problems with our car because whenever I steer to left or right there's a hang time which is scary.
It doesn't steer right away I need to put some extra steer to completely steer the car. In our car there's a soft part and a normal part
when steering, the soft part is on the beginning of steering the car where the car doesn't turn and then the normal part where the
car turns already, So to make it short hindi sya kumakabit agad.
So my questions are - what's wrong? Where is the best shop to have it fixed?

Car Specs: 1997 Mazda MPV 2.5 Liter Diesel - Converted from Right Hand to Left Hand.

Thanks in advance and God Bless!

    yes... be scared!
it seems, something in the steering mechanism is very loose, and is most probably on its way to getting free (read: you lose your ability to control direction of movement). have it seen FAST. if you're lucky, it might just be loose nuts and bolts that need tightening...

the steering wheel free play is 0-30 millimeters of movement measured at the ring of the steering wheel. since you have a concern and that the vehicle is a conversion, have it checked as soon as possible. don't drive the car, have it towed or have a technician evaluate the steering linkage before putting the vehicle back on the road.

sir, same ride tayo except mine is original LHD.

pa check mo sir yung clamp bushing para sa steering rack mo. malamang e worn out na kaya lalaki ang steering play and correspondingly yung response nya.

Kailangang ibaba yung steering rack. tapos pa-check mo na rin yung outer and inner tie rod end.

i brought mine sa BMA ave near Banawe. name of shop is Toto power steering specialist.
