sabi ni Wolfpack na ang GT ay formulated for tropical conditions diba?

I'm still debating whether I should keep my H/T and use the GT Savero as a 2nd set (if budget permits) when I get them eventually. BUT if kung hindi ko kaya mag 2 sets, mas mabilis pa rin ba mag-wear out ang Savero if it's my only set and I use my vehicle everyday?

napapa-isip ako kasi kung formulated siya for tropical conditions BAKA hindi siya ganun kabilis mapudpod. hehe positive thinking... :D

Mga more than 40K kms siguro kaya niyan. Ganyan gamit ng kabarkada ko sa Pajero nila, eh.

SAVERO M/T na kunin mo. I'm eyeing them for my next set of tires. O kaya Maxxis Buckshot Mudders.

ah oo nga, Savero M/T nga balak ko, sorry hindi ko nabanggit agad.tinatanong ko yung magka-pudpod ng Savero M/T's. kasi kung mabilis siya mapudpod, mas lalo na 1 lang sasakyan ko so I'll be using it everyday, try ko pilitin nalang na 2 sets ang tires ko...

suggestion lang, better have two sets of tires. mud tires are great when new but when a little worn out they shake the vehicle a bit when you brake especially if IFS front suspension. they put much strain on the steering components. based on experince lang.

I did not know that mud tires place more strain on the steering components. I know that large tires or heavy tires do add increased strain on one's steering but I never came across any data that claims that the tread design of a tire adds strain. I would think that mud tires (of the same dimensions as the stock tire) actually decreases direct strain to the steering since there is less contact area on the ground. Could someone please enlighten me if i am mistaken.

Mud tires add more strain cause, they eventually go out of balance. habang nauubos at numinipis, sumasama ang balance nito.

    oteps,
medyo magastos sa gas yang buckshot mudders. Bias ply iyan hindi radial ply. Mas mataas ang rolling resistance. mahihirapan ka din sa balancing niyan kasi after a while, out of balance na ulit. May supplier ba niyan dito?

i sugeest you get an agressive a/t tire na lang, like the BFG A/T KO. general grabber a/t. or you could try the simex centipede m/t

wolvie - not all ha, based sa experience swamper, courser, but the new generation i dont know like the geo m/t, wrangler mtr. they make vibrations that you can feel all over the dashboard when you decelerate.

    ARB,

I'm definitely going M/T's this time. Gusto ko sana yung BS M/T's ni KimpOy pero parang mahal (32" ang target size ko) so Savero, Maxxis or other off-brand tires ang choices ko.

Hirap ang A/T sa bukid at sa lahar. hehehe.

I agree completely that mud tires tend to wear out faster and sometimes in an uneven manner. I also agree that they tend to vibrate or cause the steering to vibrate at times. I just wanted to point out that, while this might add unnecessary strain to the driver, it does not really strain your steering because your steering components are inherently passive and just respond to the feedback from the tires. It is only when you add your own inputs into the vehicle direction that the steering becomes an active component. this is how it was explained to me but maybe I am mistaken. The reason I said that tire/wheel dimensions and weight can affect or strain the steering (tie rod ends in particular and wheel bearings too) is because it is more a consequence of inertia and weight on the bearings and load on the tie rod ends. just my 2 cents.
