the agx's are over $400 na for the set of 4 right?
you might as well get tein coilovers for just a little bit more. the basic damper for the ES isn't that expensive.
sheepdog and some other manufacturers also make upgraded suspensions.
Yep... they're already over $400 when i checked.Originally Posted by speedyfix
Was talking to a shop earlier today and it seems they can source Paraut shocks for the ES... I just have to check them out first and verify if it is indeed for the ES.
How is the ride quality of the Teins?
the tein basic coilovers ride very nicely since they have a low spring rate.
How about replacement shock absorbers for the Toyota Altis? Front shocks... brand, price and where to get it?

I had a 97 Honda Civic VTi and had the shock aborbers replaced a few years ago. KYB or Showa is the OEM for the Civic's shocks. I had it replaced at PartStar along Taft Ave. PartStar supplies original and replacement parts for Honda, so you can ask them na lang which is it. A few years ago, it was P5,400/pair, so much cheaper than the casa price (kahit HamPart pa).Originally Posted by vinj
They also have a mechanic, Kado, who used to be from Honda service, so he is very good! He is still there as of now, and is chief mechanic na daw.
You may reach PartStar at 511-0446/0447, 831-9383.
Directions: From Makati, take EDSA heading eastbound/Roxas Blvd. Turn right at Taft Ave. (the street w/ the LRT above). It will be on your right a few hundred meters away. You won't miss it because of the big sign pag katabi mo na.
Hope this helps.
guys quick question regarding sa shocks ng mitsubushi lancer gsr, i had may OEM shocks replaced after 9 years of sevice, nasira na yung fluid type yun alam ko eh na shocks nya, I replaced both the front and back shocke absorber with KYB's gas type shock absorber. do i also have the change the OEM springs with a new one? sabi ng mechanic no need na daw palitan coz ok pa naman, pero yung shocks lang daw ang sira front and back kaya i replaced it. is it ok for me to also change my springs with H&R sport springs? may improvement pa ba ito regarding sa suspension, besides ang cool ng H&R coz may color.. hehe! thanks peeps!
kpag nasira-an ka ng shocks tapos di mo nmalayan yong springs mo ang mag we-weak.. kasi springs nlang ang nag su-suport.. kaya kpag giba yong shocks mo palitan mo agad kasi yong springs nlang ang help sa suspensions.. pra sakin buy nlang a new set of springs kasi bago shocks mo dba?Originally Posted by Nautilus

oh.. ok i got your point bro, sabi ng mechanic hindi naman daw sira pero tama ka coz matagal tagal na din na nasira yung shocks nung car and yung springs na lang nag support before, kaya may possibility na mag weaken na nga sya coz nag wear down na yung shocks kaya sa springs na napunta yung pressure instead of the shocks. Thanks for the input!Originally Posted by finchy18
guys does any of you have any idea how much a pair of H&R springs would cost for the front and back? thanks!
replaced my two rear shocks last saturday. got KYB gas shocks for 2,200 each.
*nautilis, 11-12k, set of four.
oh ok.. thanks man! where could I buy a set of H&R Springs locally? I'm planning to replace mine.Originally Posted by happy_gilmore
Ok pa naman daw springs ko sabi ng mechanic, pero as what I have said before mas napunta na sa springs yung pressure nung car since matagal na din nasira yung shock absorbers ko before ko napapalitan recently. So I might as wel change my springs right? Would I notice the difference if I change my springs from my old OEM springs to a new set of H&R's front and back?
Got may KYB's at P2,800 for the back per piece that's P5,600 and P1,800 for the front per piece.
I made a canvass at Dr. A Santos Ave, aka Sucat Road, dami nagbebenta dito ng mga parts ng cars, much like banawe but I got these the cheapest.

I recently bought 2 brand new KYB shocks for my ES. 5,200 ang isa. I bought it at R.B.M sa Taft (malapit sa edsa station ng LRT).Originally Posted by vinj
