December 2nd, 2002 11:31 PM #33Wala ata nga locally eh. Hanap ako ng Ferodo DS series, ganda ng kapit, almost race spec and rated up to 600 deg. celsius so fade won't set-in unless tagal ka na sa track.
Just wanted to add about the Bendix pads. I am using the aramid pads, a step below the Metal Kings since I was curious about them. After 6 hard laps in BRC follwing Kookie Ramirez since he gave us a class, my brake fluid was boiling, grabe usok from the brakes, rotors were warped but the pads were ok. No glazing, no pad fade, and actually OK parin yung brakes since matigas parin pedal at makapit pa yung brakes.
FOr those who've run in BRC, there's a series of slow corners after the double apex. You come barrelling down at it from about 160 km/h and brake hard down to about 60km/h in a span of about 100 meters or less. The pads worked well repeatedly, (I ended up doing 26 laps in 4-5 lap outings) surprised even me considering they are meant for SUV's.

Bendix is OK. My only gripe about them is that they are a little noisy.
