I have seen this topic also on Moutain Bike and Roadbike forums. Roadbike wheels, which normally have a pressure of between 90 to 130 psi, are nowadays also catching this trend of inflating them with pure N2.
But frankly speaking, I do not really see any substantial benefit of having Nitrogen filled tires. Especially when somebody claims that they can feel the difference.
Theoretically speaking, Pure N2 filled wheels would have less change in pressure, between cold and warm temperatures, as compared to normally air filled tires. Air filled tires will also contain moisture compared to pure nitrogen which will be bone-dry.
I would rather spend the 100 pesos for 3 more liters of fuel(another 35kms) rather than filling my tires with Nitrogen.
By the way, N2 should come from Bottled cylinders and not compressors. Bottled N2 should have enough pressure to fill up tires up to 35 psi. (if its coming from a compressor, think twice,.)

[quote=Memphis Raines;918503]P50.00 for all 4 tires na? Sobrang mura ata.
yup! yun talaga ang price sa minerva tire gallery at macapagal avenue. . .P50.00 for all four tires ang binayaran ko to re-inflate the tires from 28psi to 30psi. kaya nga nagulat ako sa iba na P100/tire to re-inflate.
meron ako alam sa imus, cavite na P150/tire ang price to inflate; re-inflate is at P100/tire.

Ive been using nitrogen for more than a year now, pero ang riding ay pareho din. There no such thing na gaganda ang takbo. They only reason na ginagamit ito ay to maintain your tire too much expansion when you are in the speed or long distance travel specially in the summer. Nitrogen is much cooler inside your tire unlike regular air that it could generate too much heat that will cause tire integrity or explosion.
To use nitrogen: You must remove all the air from your tire then inflate w/ nitrogen. Do not mixed w/ regular air or you wont get what you want.

January 30th, 2008 01:48 PM #168yesterday when I changed oil, promo nila (KarrJackson here in CDO) is nitro-fill and i'd just add P100 for 4 tires na yun. Regular price is P200. I really had a dilemma. Very tempting for me but then i finally decided against it on the grounds that there are only 2 nitrogen filling stations (AFAIK) here in our city. Kung widely and readily available lang sana ang nitrogen, di na ako magdadalawang-isip
