    matagtag.
    yung pangalawa, siguro.

    parang naka-bisikletang pang-karera kayo.

what some drivers may not realize, especially if they do mostly driving and minimal passengering,
is that the pasaheros behind the driver usually feel the shocks more acutely than the driver.
this is because the driver's seat is nearer the center between the front and the rear tires.
if one looks at the sedan/hatch/auv/mpf/suv from the side, one will notice that the rear seat is almost above the rear tires.

Given our HORRIBLE roads, its a wonder our cars here don't fall apart sooner than their designed lifespans.

3rd world na 3rd world talaga.

    many years ago,
there was this un-announced hump in green meadows, that i drove over at speed.
"my exhaust system fell down, held up only by the exhaust manifold".

i used to drive around in my ex-taxi car, with a small roll of alambre and duct tape, for justin.

agree... I used to follow a 100K kms rule to replace my suspension when I was overseas.

I think di sya applicable here sa Pinas

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread but my concern is related to the subject.

Yesterday, my wife said parang matagtag na raw yung sasakyan namin. My question is, how long before you replace the shock absorbers given the harsh condition of our roads here in the metro? Our car (mobilio) is already 6 years old with 67k odo reading.

    Kapain/inspect mo yung shocks.
I also try the "yugyug" test to see how well they dampen. After you stop pushing, it should (generally) go up and down mga 2-3 times na lang.

On an old car of mine, nung sira yung shock, I could feel yung loss of grip sa rear after a bump, because the tire could not consistently maintain contact with the road na.

Tanong mo rin if pinahanginan ba niya yung tire (tumaas PSI) anytime lately?

I will try the yugyog test later. Pinapakiramdaman ko yung bounce kapag dumadaan kami sa humps and so far mga 2-3 bounce pa rin ang inaabot. I always monitor the tire pressure via TPMS (32 psi front, 30 rear). I will also check for leaks kung meron.

    Thank you!
