Kwento ko lang pauwi ako from a night swimming with barkada palabas ako ng subdivision here in QC and after ko mag right turn nakaramdam ako ng sudden vibration and after a second or two bumagsak yung front driver side ng auto ko!! akala ko nalubak lang ako pero yung tropa ko sumigaw: Yung gulong mo lumipad!! i was shocked to see my left wheel flew across the street buti na lang around 2am na yun at wala tinamaan across the street. Im using 17" rim with 3mm and 5mm Spacer (Kasi tumatama sa wall and shocks) with Stock wheels stud!! Thanks for reading

Yep, invest in a good set of studs and lugs. Thanks for sharing the story so that others who think those are not mission critical components will think twice about not investing.

When going for aluminum lugs, don't buy the cheap ****. Hell, when buying lugs, don't buy cheap **** period!

For affordable, high quality aluminum lugs, I got mine at Autoplus. They were selling them by the piece back then, so if you lost one, easy to get a replacement. Four years of heavy use and mine are still in perfect condtion. The cheap aluminum and steel ones I'd tried before (on my previous car) would always strip out within a year.

oh wow.. ok so it wasn't D1SPEC that broke but that's still a concern for most of us..

so next question would be what brands do we need to get? is there any way to check if it's a reliable brand or not? what brands are the other guys using?

lesson learned! hope you learned from it.
when modifying/altering/changing anything in the suspension or steering components, make sure safety is not compromised. when replacing lugnuts, wheels, installing hub spacers, make sure the studbolt engagement is at least as deep as the diameter of the studbolt. if the lugnut is open ended, it is recommended that at least two threads are protruding beyond the lug nut outer surface. if the lugnut is that of acorn type, use an open lugnut as a gauge or as a basis for a visual confirmation before replacing the lugnuts with acorn type lugnuts. and always torque tighten to prevent over/under torquing fasteners

isa pa gumagamit kasi kayo ng spacer... it gives unnecessary stress sa wheels kasi offset yung center nung wheels sa rotor... nagkakaron tuloy ng lever since wala sa center yung gulong...kaya ayun pag kumalas lipad yung gulong

Left wheel flew and scared the **** out of me!
