July 19th, 2007 07:28 PM #1hi guys! im new here. actually i joined to know if someone could help me with my car. My car is a 2nd hand 2004 toyota altis. i have a problem with my power steering reservoir just this last friday. I saw kasi na biglang naubos ang power steering ko and may sound sya. Dinala ko sya sa Rapide first and they lifted up the car, nakita ko na may leak sya pero dinala ko na lang sa toyota makati, and it's almost a week na sya dun. first, nung monday, they told me na ang papalitan
is yung kit ng rack, and they gave me an estimate of 6k plus ang magagastos. I agreed and I was kampante naman with the toyota makati na matatapos sya this thursday. SO now, it's thursday na and they called me sa office, saying na ang papalitan naman ngayon is yung buong rack and pinion daw, which is costing a whooping P53K!. They even told me na pinasok daw ng tubig ang system and sira na at kailangang palitan ang rack and pinion Pinahold ko muna yung repairing and Tinanong ko ang daddy ko cuz marami syang alam sa kotse. He told me na di naman basta basta masisira yun, besides it's still almost a brand new car pa naman dahil it's 2004 model. Papalitan lang daw yun ng oil seal ba yun or kit. I decided to pull-out n lang yung car ko and get another diagnose and opinion s ibang car shop. What else pa kaya ang problem why is it leaking?

But if you buy a replacement pressure hose, chances are may konting ugong, and occasional stiffness, unlike if you use OEM.
Kung R&P, pwede ipa-hard chrome, but its not recommended. Best way is to buy a brand-new replacement, dahil super-mahal ang OEM.
Replaced na both the Pressure and return hoses in my Sentra & Accord, replacement nga lang. Ramdam ko yung difference bet. OEM and replacement.
