merong nag-quote sa akin na mechanic that he can get a heavy duty industrial-type hose, fittings, and have it pressed all for P1800 for my old corolla. meron na kasing leak yung orig hose ko. okay na ba yung presyo considering he will be buying the hose, the fittings, and having the fabrication done? i just don't know kung bridgestone quality yung hose, but he said it will even be stronger than the orig hose.

had the PS hose of my old sentra replaced last year sa Servitek.. cost me 1,250 yata, all in na..though experience ko lang ay medyo maingay kapag medyo todo kabig sa manibela like pag nag maniobra ka. but wala naman ingay pag straight driving lang..

mura yun ha! considering yung magandang hose is around P900, that means yung fittings and labor amount to only P350! kaso, yung ingay nga ang gusto kong i-avoid. does that mean wrong diameter yung PS hose na nagamit? what causes the noise anyway?

yap.. 9k kasi orig sa nissan kaya replacement na lang ginamit ko. madalang ko na din kasi gamitin yung car, mga once or twice a month na lang.. 750 yata yung hose (industrial grade), 250 for fittings and crimping and 250 labor. but that was last year pa. kilala ko kasi yung dating supervisor dun kaya di na sila nagpatong dun sa materials.. binigyan ko na lang 50 tip yung gumawa.. he told me na unless orig hose ang gamitin mo, may ingay talaga pag hard turning na.. i think the noise is coming from the pressure inside the hose or pump.. dunno if this is an isolated situation..
maybe we can ask yung ibang nagpalit ng PS hose (not orig), kung may ingay din ba kayo naririnig pag todo kabig na??

meron kasing nagsabi sa akin before na taga ziebart na umiingay daw talaga pag hindi orig yung ginamit. i don't see why unless hindi same specs yung fabricated hose sa orig (ie., iba yung diameter or yung pressure tolerance ng hose). however, sabi naman nung mechanico that is charging me P1,800 to replace my PS hose now, wala daw ingay at mas matibay pa (industrial grade) yung ikakabit niyang fabricated hose. maniniwala ba ako?

in my case, i was informed first na may noise talaga pag di orig yung hose kaya wala ako reklamo..
regarding yours, ask ur mechanic if meron syang warranty (leaks and noise)dun sa pagagawa mo.. kung wala, then it's your call..

Bring the hose to ABC and they will provide the exact diameter and type of hose for the specific purpose. I don't see any problem like noise if you use the exact replacement hose.
