my ride is a civic lxi 2000. ummm sa fulid type, i really dont like the kyb fluid kasi sobrang bilis nasira sakin and considering na hindi pa ko lowered that time(less than 1 year). after that ng-gas type na ko and lowered. hangang ngpalit na ko ulit pero hindi pa sira and kahit nasa pinsan ko na yung shocks... still going strong. 4 years combined na nasa sakin and sakanya...
sa question mo, i think any shop that offers fluid type has a match for your car. i really cant comment on other brands kasi never tried them yet. you can look sa evngelista if your from the south and banawe if your from the north area.

sorry yung question mo pala reputable shop and brand...
sa shop-- id say mayo parts para sure na original makuha mo or puwde rin sa speedyfix kasi they offer kyb there.
brand... i like the tokico gas performance than the kyb gas... hirap lang recommed kyb na fluid kasi it failed my expectation sa durability. kung fluid kunin mo, i cant recommed any brand kasi after ng kyb fluid, gas na gamit ko.
if you get the OEM... then thats your best bet para sa brand new feel pa din.

hmm... i guess hindi ganon kaganda yung ride ng gas than fluid... parang ang OEM ng almost all sedans are fluid type. lets put it this way, gas type is much firmer and is used for control sa oto while fluid type is for the comfort of stock cars. well thats how i could put it into prospective. but dont take my word for it kasi never did a gas type with normal height car.
parang ganon ang prospective ko when it comes to shock absorbers.
wala ako tiwala sa repair ng shocks eh.. parang naluwagan na then refill lang... not a fan of refills.

as far as i can remember around 2 or 3 years na yata yung shocks niya (cant really remember exactly) pero i can guarantee na fluid type binili niya coz i was with him yung ginawa shocks niya. also sabi niya, dun pinakamura nakita niya na supply ng OEM ng galant. ok naman yung mga products nila, it has the seal of mitsu for the spare parts. then if on a budget yung bumibili, they offer the replacement. the good thing about the shop medyo hesitant sila to sell repalcement kung critical parts yung kailangan pero if you insist, they will still sell it to you. (or baka suki na dad ko dun)
also meron din dun mekaniko sa tabi ng shop if you want to install it kaagad. dami din nagpapagawa dun kaya medyo masikip. minsan nawalan pa kami space to park kasi ang dami talaga.
about the durability of the shocks, i really cant gauge kasi we just use it kung coding isa samin (lakas kasi sa gas). mga once or twice a week lang gamit pero ok pa naman yung shocks niya up to now. kung daily driver mo mitsu mo baka different result. pero OEM naman sell nila kaya i think it will last naman.
considering a Ferrari has an average price range of 20-25M. multiply that with 666 units sold then...
