March 29th, 2003 01:11 AM #1Curious lang ako, from experience how often do you get a flat tire using 31'-32' tires due to punctures (nails, broken glass)? under normal usage.
like once in a month/year/5 yrs.
or are the tires thick enough to prevent it , hindi katulad ng car tires.
kasi naisip ko lang kung ma-flatan ka sa daan, di ang hirap magpalit esp for a girl

hybrid,
Si Pajerokid na-flatan sa SM. hehehe. Pero slow leak lang while he was away. Pero kung behind the wheel siya malamang nadala pa niya sa vulcanizing.
Never pa kong napahinto ng flat. Usually kasi matagal maubusan ng air ang big tires. Aabot pa ng vulcanizing. There was a time I had 3 nail punctures at once (sabotage). Nakapag-ikot pa ko para humanap ng tire shop to fix it.
Broken glass is rarely a problem. Kapag gooms, eh.

I would notice the puncture in about a week pag na notice ko na yon isang tire medyo malambot. It pays to keep your spare in tip top shape. If you think lifting a spare to your lugs is difficult, try carrying it to a vulcanizing shop. :?

hybrid,
hehe. Baka nagkamali lang iyon ng nalagyan.
Mararamdaman naman ni mommy hybrid iyon. Kasi magkakaroon ng bias sa steering even before mag go flat completely.

The only thing I don't like on ATs are the small stones that always get there way in the treads.
Mas maganda ngayon ang 33" MTs, wider lugs, deeper grooves. Hindi prone sa mga small stones.
I tried to lift the 32" tires before, while I was having them balanced. An estimated 20kgs. for the tire and mags.

March 29th, 2003 04:52 PM #8ungas,
yup, nakainis yung stones na sumisingit.
that's what I thought, bigger tires are less prone to flat kaya lesser chance to carry it, astig pa tingnan, ok pa sa offroad. OK! :D
Now the problem is, where to I get the dough to pay for it.
at least I have an idea hehe...
3M Color Stable series are all above 50% TSER. RFID readable through the tint, stays good for...
