di ba naging harsh yung ride pagkatapos ng cranking ng torsion bar mo?
    san mo pinagawa?
Hindi naman...but I was opting for a taller stance...but when we did it...pangit na ang response ng shocks...we have to decrease it by roughly 1/2 an inch....totally we ended up with raising it by at least 1/2 to 1 inch taller than it use to be....

Ipinagawa ko yung torsion crank sa casa ng Nissan in Sn Fernando Pamp. in one of my scheduled servicing.

My stock wheels were 195R14 its a 4x2 Standard....I believe your 4x2 is an elite version kaya 15" ang rims. You could roughly fit a bigger tires if you would still have a 2" difference from the edge of the fenders/fender flares to the surface of the new tire....my visual estimate is that I can have around 30" tires pa....but I could be wrong...why don't you test fit one muna...

To gain better spacing for your planned bigger wheels...I have researched that the frontier will have to have either a suspension lift or a body lift....A body lift could be as low as P7,000 for the frontier all-in and its a 3" lift. An imported A-arm for the front would cost you about US$350-500 for a pair (Calmini, Fabtech, or AC 4x4 brands) - I'm not sure if its locally available.

As for the rear, a good taller shackles is a good change (P1,000-4,000) for 4 pieces or 2 pairs. But as for me, I'm seriously considering a modification of leaf-spring-over-differential conversion. The shackles will be the stock. A possible repositioning of the rear shocks is required - cost...I don't know yet...maybe around P3,000 at least.

As I am closely observing the stance of the 4x4 Pathfinder - I noticed that the A-arms were normal ones but it does have a body lift (maybe just around 2" and the rear is a leafspring-over-differential configuration...unlike the standar pick-ups like in the 4x2 frontier...no body lift and the rear is leafspring -under-differential setup.

    My 2 cents.

    PK,
    no problem.

    Wildthing,

Just a factor to consider when putting in larger tires.

My ride is a Mazda B25 4x4, stock tires if I remember right is 195/65R16 (makitid siya na mataas). Bought second hand Pajero mags and Michelin LTX 31x10.5R15 tires. Cranked up the torsion bars to fit.

Ok naman, kaso one time me mabigat ako cargo sa likod plus puno rin ng passengers sa loob. Pag todo kabig manibela, I heard a scraping sound... ayun sayad pala gulong sa harap sa bandang dulo ng fender

Wala na ko budget for a body lift kaya ngayon di siya pwede kargahan ng mabigat...

kaya pag me hihiram at mag load sa likod me dahilan na ko para wag magpahiram hehe..

Extreme torsion bar cranking can cause camber disalignment - so it has got to be done moderately.

When I say done properly, your mechanic must adjust the anti-sway bar and bump stops to conform with the new stance of the A arm.
